Well im gonna guess the leaking oil pans didnt help ford in anyway.

And Chevy new 4 cylinder turbocharged trucks cant be helping them.

Im guessing the Demon fires dont count for dodge because they dont get fixed just scraped and insurance pays it off.

The Demon fires don't count for dodge because as soon as the crate parts are installed it's a non stock vehicle modified with aftermarket parts

...sorry, had to

How can a foreign car company be the most American? Interesting.

Also it seems these ranking come from owners reviews? Not trustworthy. People can complain about anything.

not at my post...
Lmfao...not a hater I’d probably buy a Dodge over GM or Ford these days. The value in the SRT lineup is hard to deny, lots of bang for the buck. However I put as much faith in CR as the bullshit JD power awards. CR may have served a purpose at one time, but is largely irrelevant these days. They don’t have the staffing i.e. real car journalists or the resources to do real long term reliability testing. These are nothing more than superficial judgements based on legroom, plushness of the headrest or if the ashtray was conveniently placed...they will only test just a few models, trim levels for a very limited time as well. You don’t see real car guys giving a shit about CR, because it’s clear the writers don’t know shit about cars, it’s sensationalistic bullshit.

I’ve been DD’ing a brand new Durango for 8mo and it hasn’t skipped a beat. It’s the V6 model with the A8. I literally floor it everywhere I go with pretty much the intent of grenading this car. To my surprise 11k miles later not one single issue. Although that one time I tree’d a chevy bolt but he 60’d me then proceeded to taunt me by goosing it’s to go from a roll . If this thing had the 6.4L it would be an excellent small family vehicle.

I haven't used/paid attention to CR in years, for the reasons already stated. I put more faith in Amazon customer reviews (home products, etc.) than I do in Consumer Reports rankings/reviews.

That said, I do give Dodge credit for offering some mighty nice performance vehicles. Lots of choices. Ford and Chevy can learn a few things from Dodge.

Consumer Reports is garbage. I lost all faith in them back in the 90's when they reviewed VCR's. They ranked a Samsung below an RCA, but the surprise was, the guts were identical. Samsung made the VCR for RCA. For that reason, they lost all credibility in my eyes.

What's not to like about CR? They buy items from a random retail outlet and test them in normal usage. Not hand picked perfectly detailed unicorn models supplied to testers by a manufacturer along with a free trip to Spain to test them. (Those usually get pretty good reviews). You can apply to be a tester. Regular people, not slaves to advertising dollars. We may not always agree with outcomes but at least it has a chance of objective honesty in the review.

Amazon is rife with fraudulent reviews. Tons of specialty companies out there that will use a bank of computers to give glowing reports (or terrible ones about the customer's competitors) for a fee. Some articles about this practice say to ignore all 1 and 5 reviews and read only 2 through 4 reviews for a better result. It's kind of like the Ebay seller who buys a few thousand penny items and gets the 100% rating so he can sell an expensive non-existent item to some dupe.

Pretty obvious I'm a boomer CR fanboy, eh?
