Begs the question!
Is there room for improvement to warrant a Gen6 in the future?
It’s amazing the level of engineering and experimenting Whipple is constantly pushing to continue their improvements!! You don’t see that in any of the competition except some housing improvements on the TVS blowers. Whipple continues to refine all aspects of their products especially the rotors which is where they’ve made the most progress.
Hats off to them, now if they could come up with a 2 piece Crusher inlet to allow better access to the passenger side plugs and coils and cam cover removal.
I’ll be picking up a Gen5 for sure unless they start talking about a Gen6 by this time next year lol.

Looking for a max all out effort for cool boost for road racing. My 2.3 gen2 makes 577/525 on 14psi

Any idea what kind of power would be made on a stock motor at say 15psi? If this blower made 900rwhp on 20psi then surely at 15psi I would be well into the mid 600s with cooler air.

Any idea on this?

I would say 15lbs would be in the low 700s honestly, but we will see once they start hitting the streets.

That would be crazy if it could do 700rwhp on gas at that boost level on a stock motor. I'd say you re estimate is 10% high.

It says "stock" cobra kit is setup for 13psi. How efficient is this blower. I'd really need to see some torque curves and where the powerband is at. The 2.3 gen 2 is a nice blower for mid 500-700 range. Obviously the 3.0 will be for the big all out guys but it all comes down to efficiency and discharge temps. We all know the whipples don't work well when underspun.

Can't wait to see results.

I wonder how much of their literature is copied and pasted. Somewhere in the paperwork for my 2.9 it says it's pullied for 13psi. I'm pretty sure that's what the base 2.3 does.

The 2.9 is setup for 18 psi out of the box with a stock diameter lower. The 3.0 should be around 20.

very impressive and cant wait make the upgrade.

Im wondering what it would do to a near stock motor for those that don't have built motors like Crane does.
