I've been thinking of doing this just for a cleaner engine bay. My question is this, I'm not quite ready to go have my car tuned by someone yet. I have a lot more things to buy before I do. However, I have an SCT x4. So if I delete the EGR is it just as simple as using my x4 and turning off the EGR or is there more to it?

The EGR delete makes complete sense but I wanted to know if anyone went any further as for more deletes from emissions. Currently I am routing my fuel system and there is some clutter in the passenger wheelwell and I am thinking about removing the Vapor Canister Solenoid/Purge valve. Can I just plug the "Evap Emissions Port or Bottom Vacuum Port" on blower and plug the "Charcoal Filter" shown on the diagram? Then I would remove the solenoid and hoses and let the aluminum vapor tube (tube from tank) vent to atmosphere? Biggest worry is fuel vapor smelling up the garage...Has anyone done this? Also, what is the best way to prevent the vapor smell? I was considering on buying a vapor canister that just has a inlet and outlet which the outlet will be vented to atmosphere.

Running 93 I get a bad smell of gas in the garage. On Corn, I do not smell it in the garage. I deleted a lot of the emissions crap. I first relocated it into the wiper cowl, then finally deleted it and removed/ plugged a bunch of the hoses in the engine bay. So much better. A charcoal canister is smart for fuel vapors.

What did you guys do about the hose coming from the bottom of the lower intake manifold?
Keep it stock unless you're trying to delete the pcv system. It t's behind the blower. One side goes to driver side valve cover. The other into the back of the blower (larger one).

I had my blower off, so I installed plugs in the lower intake and the blower elbow. Removed all the tubing and added valve cover breathers.

How are you guys re-using the stock hose as far as rebending it and reusing it? Is there a technique to reforming it to the new configuration?

the "vent to atmosphere" off of the boost by-pass..does that need ANYTHING hooked up to it at all or can I just leave the hose off of it right at the valve it self?

I know this is an old thread but hopefully someone can help me. I just did this egr delete in my cobra. And for some reason my manifold vent is pulling vacuum and the car can't make boost. Everything is connected as it's supposed to be per this write up. Any advice would help.
