I hope Ford makes the Sport model a little more "beefy". 2.3L with a tune would be a stupid fun DD going from stoplight to stoplight.

Agreed. But with the exception of the Mustang, Ford has managed to place fun in a canvas bag and beat it against a tree. I'm somewhat expecting Ford to have to be able to partner with another manufacturer to survive.

Could you imagine a 2.3L Escape AWD with the RS drift mode? Lower the thing, add some fancy dampers and some stiffer springs/sways. Its already setup for the AWD system and im sure bolting all the RS components on shouldnt be too hard.

RS wheels, RS brakes and RS rear end w/ clutches would be a sick little build.

Didn't the Escape used to be a crossover that was more like a mini-SUV rather than a large Civic?

ETA: Yup. I'd love to see a side-by-side review with a comparison of cargo capacities and actual utility.

I don't care for the front end. Liked the previous model better in that regard. Even in person it was meh.

Not bad looking. My wife probably would like to at least test drive one. Me? No.

My 2001 was one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. I put that thing through the ringer for 8 years and it just kept kicking. Sold it to my cousin to buy my first truck and regret it to this day. His daughter is still looking around in it.
