Lennox is a pretty good brand.

Although, as of the last few years, their QC has gone down the drain quite a bit.

I you can swing it, Carrier and Trane are the way to go these days.

Ours took a dump 2 winters ago. Luckily i have an HVAC buddy who gives me his cost on parts.

We drove to the warehouse and picked up new unit after i laid out $600. He and I installed it same day.

It is also a Lennox, but i dont recall which model. Works great though.

I'm on my 2nd Trane, replaced the 1st @ 20 years, I thought it was time.
.................Replaced the AC @ the same time.
These things are pretty much bullet proof..

Don't get Lennox. When you have a problem, their parts do not interchange with other manufacturers. Parts are more expensive and not always in stock at the supply house.

Unfortunately, you didn't mention square footage if it's single story, two story, if there's a basement being heated...

Plus you may run into a compatibility issue with the pre-existing A/C unit system...

Look at your existing heating system-
Verify the btu/hr capacity and track down the efficiency rate
The size and spacing
The Supply & return paneling sizes
Fuel lines feeding the original unit [size & pressure]

See if the new ones you are considering is an improvement and will operate in your HVAC system...

That's how I would start my search...

I had a Rheem 98% efficient gas furnace installed last year and it works great. I wanted to go with Carrier but the mechanical contractor talked me out of it. The Rheem units are very nice looking and I decided to take a chance with them. The installation went great and we paired it with an Ecobee 4 smart thermostat that has Alexa built in. I can set the AC or heat via voice commands in the bedroom, dining room or on my iPhone. The temperatures can also be set remotely when you are out of the house.

Global Leader and Manufacturer of Heating, Cooling, and Water Heating Products - Rheem Manufacturing Company

But the home is actually currently being heated with Ethereum mining rigs with a total of 41 GPUS (21 1070 ti, 18 RX580, 1 1070 and 1 1080ti). It is using about 5000 watts continuous electricity @ 1368 mh/s. I can get the mh/s up a little but at the expense of more electrical power which is not worth it so I settled with a balance between power and performance.

It is 25 degrees F outside, the furnace is not coming on and the thermostat inside is reading 67 degrees. I have a single computer with one 1070 ti sitting on the dining table close to the thermostat and it is heating the local area to trick the thermostat. I have a second thermostat in the bedroom and that is also reading 67 degrees so the heat from the rigs seem to spread through the house.

I have two return air registers above the mining rigs in the basement and the hot air is sucked into the duct work. Our gas bill is pretty low in the winter and the electric fan does not come on as much with the mining rigs heating the house. Sure it cost more to heat the house with mining rigs compared to a gas furnace. But I am getting paid in Ethereum to heat the house so the extra expense is offset. If Ethereum goes to zero it will be a waste. If it goes up it could be profitable. It is a gamble. I turn the rigs off in the summer. The ETH price is just not high enough to justify that discomfort.

Just replaced our AC (1 1/2 ton I believe) and gas furnace with high efficiency BRYANT models. Total cost was around 7K. Our budget billing electric bill went down around $50/month because of our decrease in overall electric usage I guess. This will be our first winter with the new gas furnace. I pretty much leave our thermostat at 73 year round, but our upstairs is still like 10 degrees hotter all the time. House is just shy 3000 sq/ft. May do the windows next?!?

We replaced our complete HVAC system (minus the ducts) 4 or 5 years ago. My friend is an HVAC contractor. He suggested Trane if we were staying in the home long term. I thought we'd be out of this home within 5 years, so went with his cheaper option: Heil. I wish I'd gone with the Trane units due to their higher efficiency, but as for reliability I cannot complain with Heil. The heil stuff has been chugging along and is way more efficient than the old system it replaced--no issues to date...Hope I don't regret typing this...

I just moved within the year and the house came with a home owners warranty. Shortly after my HVAC system took a dump and I had it all replaced and they installed all Goodman products. So far so good.
