I 2nd this, I was looking into the AIM dashes myself. I think the racepak is a cool dash but it screams racecar and it a little outdated compared to other dashes out there.

I don't, I haven't installed it yet. Car is undergoing a new engine build and a lot of other changes. I'm debating whether to keep the stock cluster and use the MXP as a secondary display, or just use the MXP only. I started a build thread you can follow:

https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/teksid-tfs-195-2v-kb-2-8-mammoth-build.1178089/#post-16275999

This is where I got my dash from: AiM MXP Strada 6" TFT Dash Street Icons, CAN Harness - Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies
I added a backup camera as well: AiM Rear Camera for MX 1.2 Series Dashes - Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies
Race Studio 3 Software: Aim Software | Aim Technologies

You can also add a bunch of other accessories to increase the dash's functionality because AIM has its own CAN connection.

Thanks Ray, I have decided to go with Haltech as well. Been nothing but great things said about them. I'm hard pressed to find anything bad about them lol! If I heard right, I think they just added a cruise control feature now too.

Haltech is always updating the Elite ESP Software and ECU Firmware. For cruise control you need the 2500, it supports Drive-By-Wire which is required to use cruise control. The 2000 does not.

I will definitely be following your build! If I went with the AIM dash I would want to be able to retain the ability to reinstall the factory cluster if I want to make it look more original for a show or something.

What I have currently that I am still messing with is a Android double din head unit to keep the stock dash then I wired in an OBD port to the Haltech as the Haltech can stream OBD data. I then used an OBDLink MX Bluetooth or wifi OBD adapter to send data to the Android head unit. There are many apps in the app store to stream OBD data with. I have only messed around a little bit with the Dashcommand App and the Torque app. I am focusing more on dialing the Haltech in than messing with this but this is what it currently looks like.

So I’m guessing you can do this with the stock ECU, get a Bluetooth OBD adapter and use one of those apps to display all of that?? Hmm....may be worth selling my duel Aeroforce setup for....

Yes, it will certainly work with the stock ECU and stock OBD port. My thoughts exactly as I also have the dual aeroforce gauges myself. Maybe I'll do a quick write up in the next day or so just so people know it's an option as well.

Well that is pretty sweet! I was figuring that they were working on something to compete with all the other companies out there for dashes. I wonder what the release date and price will be.

I just as that on the MCM channel. Cannot wait to get that. Haltech seems to be the guys to beat.

I went with the MS3Pro as I hate the cheesy dash replacements on the older cars. One thing I have always found iconic about the Cobras is the White gauge faces. From my research the learning curve is a lot more on the MS3 but you can do way way more than you can on the holley and haltech. Of course if you are not using these added features than it is not an issue.

The costumer support has been second to none. I have had the owner of the company texting me checking up on how I like it and I have had the lead engineer hit me up wondering how I was doing. Also their facebook page and forum has their engineers answering questions very quickly.

I'm not a huge fan of replacing the cluster on a street car so I understand you there but it's a nice option to upgrade to something that gives a little more data that the factory stuff if you wanted. What do you mean that the MS3 can do way more that the Holley or Haltech stuff? What features does it have that the others do not?

I'm glad to hear that they are supportive of their products and are eager to help though! I know that was a huge factor for me in my setup.

The MS3Pro is great, but I think its a far cry to say it has more features than Haltech etc. MS3Pro has half the resolution compared to Haltech and Holley, and my mind that ALONE puts Haltech and Holley ahead of MS3. But I am no expert. It absolutely is the only 100% plug and play unit though and amazing none the less. Not trying to bash MS3 at all, just trying to be realistic in discussing capabilities.

Stole this from another page but sums up everything I found from searching:

"Holley:
PROS (depending on model)
-More user friendly
-Better interface
-DBW control
-Built in Trans control
-Pre-configured inputs specific to your engine.
-More hardware addons directly from the manufacturer.
-Includes Bosch O2 sensor

CONS (also depending on the model)
-Proprietary CANBUS format.
-PRICE $$$
-Less Customization

MS3
PROS (based on model)
-Built in 4-bar MAP and Barometer (MS3Pro)
-MUCH better datalogging (preference?)
-More customization.
-Standard CANBUS format (Infinite Analog/Digital/PWM I/O easy and cheap via Arduino or other CANBUS capable microcontrollers)
-Lower Price with either Gold Box or MS3Pro.

CONS
-Fewer manufacturer hardware options (Those Holley dashes are nice)
-Interface may take slightly longer to become accustomed to.
-Separate trans control
-No DBW or even planned DBW control.

For me, MS3 is a clear winner. I like the option for infinite input/outputs using an arduino. I like MegaLogViewer HD more than the Holley datalogger. The price doesn't hurt, either.

MS3Pro vs Gold Box is up for debate. Now that the Pro has released the EVO and the Ultimate models and phased out the Gen 1 stuff, the Pro is much better than the Gold Box, but more expensive.

To me, the Holley is more user friendly. The interface is a little easier to navigate. I don't think it has as much customization to my taste, but easier.
The MS3 does more of the things I want it to. I'm a fan of CAN BUS expansion. With the MS3 its VERY easy. I can add nearly infinite digital I/O or analog inputs with about $20 and a little programming."

I can't speak to the Holley stuff as I have no experience with it nor do I have any experience with the MS3 Pro. I do have Haltech Elite ECU 2500 on my car and currently and it does also have an onboard 4 bar MAP sensor as well. I don't know if the CANBUS is standard on the Haltech but if I need more I/O's, all I would need to do is purchase a Haltech CAN I/O expander and have up to 12 more inputs or outputs through that. I don't even know what an andruino device is myself.

This all being said I think the MS3 is a fantastic device for the price and the fact that it plugs right into the factory location. I actually had the MSPNP on my old 94 Cobra turbo car before I sold it so I am not against their products at all but I do love my Haltech stuff and wouldn't trade it for the MS3 myself.
