SCT x3

I can get an sct x3 tuner with a 123mm jlt carbon fiber intake for a good price. Just need to verify if the act x3 will work on my 2014 GT500. I will probably get an x4 tuner down the road but will the x3 work for now? Thanks

UPDATED: I found a used unlocked X4 I will be getting instead of the X3. Came off a 2014 GT500 as well. Should be much better.

Hopefully it will work. I didn't see the x3 on their website.

I had problems with my X3. My Tuners Lund and Lidio at Alternative Auto prefer X4 for ‘11+ cars.

There was an "enhanced" version of the X3 that will work on a Shelby, but the unenhanced version will not (not to mention it would be over 10 years old). I don't recall the distinction, but it was in the serial number. Unless it's damn-near free, I'd pass. I had spotty results with the X3 in terms of firmware updates, even bricking one once. I tune my own car, so I tend to flash tunes more than most. I've had far better success with the X4. It's faster loading tunes too, which is also a consideration in my book.

Change of plans. Im getting the jlt carbon fiber intake and found a used X4 for $200 instead of the X3. Its unlocked and should work much better for me.

Either one will work just make sure its unmarried with unlocks left, I sell both models used for a little more if your deal falls through

Any reason why the X4 over the X3, I'm still using my X3.

I had one brick the car, was a big pain in the ass.
Ford dealer had to reset things and then I bought the X4 with same tune from Lund. No problems since.
The car is now on a custom local tune from Lidio.

X4 is just a much better tuner.

I will have mine FS soon, unmarried and unlocked. No need for it now no Shelby to tune.
