No,........I don't think so.
His ZR1 was stock when he ran the Redeye the first time IIRC. His ZR1 is not stock currently.
Yes, it was Driveway Demons.
Auto ZR1 from street speed had tune, headers and ported blower. You have to do some digging but that is what he was running. Still should not have won though. Driveway demons was very traction limited.

You’re correct. I remember doing the digging myself a while back. However, Driveaway demons had a canned tune and was nowhere close to 900whp at the time. This is the discussion I remember at .org.

Yeah, I'll have to check.
I was pretty sure the first time that they raced, the ZR1 was stock? Maybe not, I'll check it out later on.

@SID297 is a nicer guy than me. I'd be launching people for redirecting website traffic :)
Hillarious. “The resident ford dealer” is already asking to have me booted for trying to help people. How insidious.
Whats the matter, dont like that we are doing stock 10.2 for 58k and that we are giving people an option other than paying your horrendous markups on your ridiculously priced Gt500’s? which Ford dealer are you any way?

1. I'm not asking to have you booted, I'm TELLING you what I would do, which obviously doesn't really matter.
2. I like how you use "we" as if you are FCA, or a member of the dealer body...or ANYONE that actually has a say in the production of the cars, or the selling of said cars.
3. I didn't place horrendus markups on ANY of my 8 GT500s that I sold.
4. Take your thin skinned self back to wherever you came from.

1.Nice failed attempt at a spin. Any suggestion I be booted I take as serious. Maybe you should take a look at yourself and try to improve your etiquette a bit.
Just remember "13COBRA" I did nothing to you. YOU are the one on the attack.
4. is another insinuation that I either leave or be booted. You got probs bud!
Good day sir!

You are one of the exception's Nick. Most Texas guys will have to go out of state to find a deal without markups when these hit the streets. When the 350 first came out every Houston dealer had an ADM tacked on, guys were going to OKC to get one at MSRP. That has finally died down and you can get them for sticker now, though some dealers still have ADM on 350Rs around here.

There is no spin? I literally said "@SID297 is a nicer guy than me. I'd be launching people for redirecting website traffic :)"...meaning if I were Travis, I would boot you. I'm not Travis. I have no ability to boot you.

I'm not insinuating anything. If you can't handle my above statement without getting your feelings hurt, this is not the place for you.

I'm not disagreeing with that at all. I've acknowledged to everyone that I understand the norm is not MSRP. I passed up a lot of money because I would rather sell them at a great value and make friends, rather than pick up extra money.

I'm selling my GT350s for $1000 over invoice ;)

I wish more dealers would follow this example. These aren't volume cars, so the markups aren't going to move the needle a whole lot in regards to the bottom line.

Good times OP! I really like those Hellcats. Wouldn't mind one myself.
Get one, they are awesome cars. If you are used to a modular, the 6.2 is a little more "rough around the edges" Its got a hint of lope because of the demon cam, and the supercharger is crazy loud for a production car, which add to the entire experience. and the exhaust is definitely on the Loud side, even in "auto" mode. It definitely feels like a muscle car, not a sports car. But I like that more! But it does handle great, and that coming from someone who has had C5 ZO6's, C6 Grandsports, Cobras.

I had a 16 Scat Pack that did 12.1 stock, and I loved that more than any of my previous Vettes. But this Redeye does everything the scat pack did so wonderfully, ups the ante considerably to going low 10s, and loses nothing in the process.

When I put the VMP blower on my 08, the supercharger wine got a lot louder -- Its similar to that.. but louder still. It has an open air filter, so the blower is crazy loud from the factory! My point is, its Lots of fun, right out of the box. . You don't have to do anything to it.. No exhaust mods, no blower mods... Just put some tires on it and you're off. The whole digital display is set up for weekend drag racing.. Its so cool.

Understand that redirecting forum users to another forum, on most forums, is an offense. The fact that the "resident Ford dealer" mentioned it to you in this case is irrelevant.

I'm not picking sides, just clarifying.

True Story :)
Ford made the decision purposefully, to limit production, this time around. I actually talked to Jim Owens about it, in person at length. I dont want to directly quote him too much, but one thing he said that will forrever stick out in my memory, was (He knew I had an 08 GT500 I bought new, and we were trading notes since he bought a KR in 08...)
"Yes, but we made too many of them before.. they became too common place" "we're going to limit production this time around and take them up market." And I looked at him, with a hundred thoughts going through my head about "That is against everything SVT stands for, and what about getting the performance into the working man's hands.. What about the "Bang for buck" quotient? Etc et etc... And I just thought to myself.. Shut up, and go buy a Red eye. LOL
He also talked about how they (Ford Corp) knew the dealers were gouging for the GT500's and he went on for quite a bit about how MSRP was just that, a suggested price, and they not only condoned, but encouraged the dealers to get whatever they could for them...
Its was at that moment, in person at Carlisle no less, at the actual GT500 intro, while I was looking at him, I knew how far Ford had Fallen and that I was going to buy a hellcat. LOL. And keep my 08GT500 as a parting prize.

Don't say things like that. You'll be personally attacked.

Something has felt.... off with Ford Performance. Just does not and has not had the same vibe from when SVT was operational. Your conversation explains it.
