^^ lol no worries.

Do you have a link for the incident with the US Team at the US event?
College Hearthstone Players Who Held Up 'Free Hong Kong' Sign Drop Out Of Tournament

I watched a video but here is a video about it.

Seems like a double standard, but, I think because Blizzard pointed out that because of how bad things are in China, they had to tread lightly.

Read another post on a different forum (maybe battlenet actually) that in China, the protests usually end in people getting shot and killed because the police/military there does not screw around. Bit different here in my opinion.

Either way, this event for the US team happened AFTER the Hong Kong event and maybe Blizzard learned their lesson and decided not to brashly go over the top with suspensions/bans, etc.

You seem to miss the point that Blizzard is panhandling to a Communist party that has many human right violations for the almighty buck.

I didn't miss that point, I just don't think that is the only reason nor the main reason.

I'm not Blizzard, I have no idea what went on behind the scenes.

I can only base my opinion off of the facts reported to me

Chinese kid wins tournament
Casters ask kid questions about the even
Kid only responds wtih feedback regarding the currently political issue in his country
Blizzard suspends kid from tournaments for 6 months and denies him winnings.
New casters are also suspended

I don't care enough to get mad at Blizzard and stop playing their games. That is like a child throwing a fit when he/she doesn't get their way.

While I agree the content of video games is politics, I still do not agree that when you go to a PRIVATE event and bring something in that has nothing to do with the game, the event, etc. even remotely, that is over the line.

It would be the same thing if someone here went to an even like this and instead of discussing what they participated in, they said "MAGA".

When it comes to a communist totalitarian government actively suppressing free speech, there's no such thing as "the wrong place". Especially when the company's community event is condoning the governments behavior.

Next you're going to tell me MLK should've chosen a better time and place.

I think now you're reaching a bit. Completely different scenario between these two situations.

Never said "wrong place" I stated "private event'. What is hard to understand about that?

This was a video game event for **** sake. V I D E O G A M E S. Not "Free the people of hong kong" event.

What happens is when people break rules or do something they really shouldn't do, they somehow become the victim and cry wolf.

If you go to an event, and everyone has to read terms/conditions and the rules, and you break those rules, are you going to accept it when the company that held the event punishes you for breaking their rules?

Again, not saying Blizzard didn't handle this properly, but, at the end of the day, they have these rules in place for a reason. If everyone just did what they wanted at these events, they would no longer serve the purpose they are intended for. They would become completley political for each persons own agenda.
