Hi,
The prior owner put Corsa Sports on the car and I'm looking for the stock axlebacks. Can anyone tell me what year would fit this car?

Also, if anyone has a set laying around, I'd like to buy it if you're selling. I'm in Brooklyn, NY.

Thanks

You may want to look into genuine Ford FRPP mufflers for your car. They're made by Borla for Ford...I absolutely love mine. I loved the stock muffs too...but the FRPP's are waaaaay better.

I just wanted to have the original parts for the car. I found the prior owner and he had the mufflers, hood prop, and intake resonator. Once I get those from him, all I’ll be short is the original tires (I found someone who has those) and the original air filter.

I like to have all the original parts of a car. I’m still looking for a dated battery for my Mystichrome. Besides that, I have everything else for it.

Nah, I'm gonna keep them. I just wanted to have the original stuff from the car.

as someone who likes oem stuff- how are they I mean just in general? I’m 100% stock as well but do give the corsa’s some thought.

They're pretty good, but I don't have anything to compare them too. They are very nice looking, the tips are double walled and very well polished. They don't drone and have a very nice sound. I got under the car and looked at them. Very well constructed and not cheap looking at all. I read up on them and I found no complaints.

No drone was my magic words lol. I think I’ll pull the trigger on some. I daily drive so was concerned since at shows I’ve heard some other axel backs and they were a little rough.

I've had Borla S and they are a little quieter than OEM other than full throttle, no drone. I now run the Ford Racing Borlas and love them. They are a little raspier than OEM but no drone and the tips are a work of art. I also did the SS Borla exhaust and they DRONE horribly.

I have Borla S Types on my Cobra and would have liked the same sound on my Shelby. The Corsas are too quiet for me.

I guess I need to find the Ford or Borla axleback.

Well if you do, gimme a holler- might take the corsas off your hands haha.

A question to both of you: do the AB’s give you a nice low rpm “parking garage” rumble?
I don’t like keeping revs up just to hear it with the stock exhaust. I only really let the revs above 1800 to hear it but I’d love to have a nice cruising rumble at parking lot speeds- if that makes sense?

Hey Tom when you say you did the “SS Borla exhaust” Is that the Super Snake Borla’s like you get from Shelby's? Thanks.

Correct. The Super Snake exhaust with the oval slash cut tips--which look awesome! But they drone HORRIBLY!

This was running with a stock exhaust other than mufflers.

Thanks man. I wanted some, but others are telling me the drone is awful too.

Hi,
The Corsas have a nice rumble but I've never heard the stock exhaust to make a good comparison.

At ldle, off idle and cruising highway in my vert the Corsa Sports did not seem much louder than my old stock mufflers. But in spirited mid range pushes the Corsa Sports are a bit louder than stock. At WOT they roar like a dinosaur.
