Looking for a my 1st 03 cobra 10th anniversary. While speaking to the owner of the car he advised that sometimes you can hear a tick sometimes on the head. He advised that it's normal and it's on the tsb. Kinda like the 18+ coyotes car. Now I'm kinda worry to buy.

Not a cheap fix
For mine as an every day driver
First issue at 60k 4 thread dropped valve
@120 replacement 9thread dropped valve
@200k head cracked
220k now on last design.
420K on original 4 thread passenger
Some have had passenger side issues not common
I do not have head cooling modification
Have a compression test /leak down done on car before

Car 4hrs away he mentioned that over the phone. Advised it was normal and goes away when warmed up
Just feeling uncomfortable to spend that kind of dough and something happens asap. Car has 25k miles. I talked my buddy who has one and said he does same.

Some of the Anniversary cars got the ‘04 heads while others had the last run from ‘03. The ‘tick’ has been brought up for the last 15+ years.

Pass on the car
Slight "tick" before it warms up may be just piston slap, normal until it warms up and everything expands a little.
