To avoid outsiders record the times. Remember the horsepower has not been released back then.

Looks like it was a base dark blue GT500 that run 10.61 @133mph with 1.75 60' , which is pretty nice considering they come on regular Michelin PS4 tires . CF package car should be able to cut better 60' heaving lighter wheels and sticky cup2 tires
evan himself said the base model is quicker because of the softer suspension. also it will have less grip in the front compared to the track pack.

In stock form the Demon is a high 10 second car for most that took it to the track. But yea a full second slower in testing just isn't gonna hang with a Demon in stock form but after ppl start tweaking these I bet they're pretty close in performance from a straight line.

At the roundy round track I like to call it im sure the 500 will out perform the Demon so "Beating" the Demon is kind of a loose statement cause u would have to be more specific as to which arena were referring to.

To most that arena is gonna be the street in a straight line race so yea I guess ur right it aint beating the Demon there.

Impressive!

However all the talk of it beating a Demon can be put to rest.

Why is it even worth mentioning a Demon on the road course? it wouldnt last one lap without being out of breath. Also would probably be in the ballpark of a non track pack ecoboost mustang

TFL has the shittiest drivers, aka worse than average, so their slow AF time makes sense.

Evan Smith is probably the best drag racer and perfect for setting up times with this car. That guy is a hero when it comes to manual shifting. The GT500 is now a DCT so little to no skill involved, just learning how to launch and modulate throttle.

sure i could and I think ford could too if they didn't make it so big and weren't hampered by all of the miles of rules they must adhere to because of the nanny state.

Except they DO have to adhere to the rules, thus, they created the car you seem to hate.

I seriously don't know what your gripe is. You've basically acknowledged that the reason it is the way it is is because of a) ruels, and b) the market.

He’s been doing it forever. Back in the day he ran 12.43 in a stock 03 Cobra and 12.8x in a stock 4th gen Camaro SS. The dude is no joke for sure.
