I didn't spend $3XX on titanium lug nuts because they saved weight (that was a biproduct), I spent $3XX on titanium lugnuts because the torque specs are 15% less (easier on studs) they're 12 pointed (easier to to tighten/loosen without fear of stripping) AND they look better with black wheels than the silver acorn shaped ones.
LOL

Ok Im mistaken coulda swore you mentioned none of that the last time I asked about it..All good buds

I think the context we were talking about was weight savings! Nonetheless, if my goal was to shave 2-3 lbs off...I'd stop making weekly trips to DQ haha

So everyone is talking the 4171 weight is for the base car; some reviews said that’s the base cars with non-recaros etc., this car is 381 lbs lighter than a base 350 which comes from mostly the transmission which is 2x heavier than the manual. It’s also blatantly obvious the rest of the weight comes from the supercharger system.
There are better “engineering” based reviews if you search some.

Edit: most recent review put the CFTP cars are sub 4100 but not much more since I’m guessing no one can weigh them there at the event.

I go to local 1/4 mile drag strips very often . I've seen around 10 Demons run over the last 2 years, not even 1 hit 9's . There were all on aftermarket drag radials , gutted and race gas. 10.1-10.9 with 10.3 being an average , 134mph was the highest trap I have seen . GT500 in the same configuration as Demon will give Demon a run for its money . Gutted , race gas , drag radials GT500 won't have problems running low 10's

Where did you get the titanium lug nuts? Do you know if they make them in extended thread, like this:

Definitely agree with that, but then we are talking modified cars right?

What track are you referring to?
The times you have listed are closer to what Redeyes run, for the Track I go to. Stock Redeyes go 10.2 to 10.4. 133-134 with DR's. I know of at least 4-5 in this range that go to the track with me. My Redeye goes 10.3 over and over. Very consistent. 2 weeks ago it went 10.3 three times in a row. Full weight. A buddy's last week went 10.2. Stock on DR. Full Weight.
Another Redeye went 9.9@137 with rear Springs, DR's and weight removed. all stock drivetrain.

Last Stock DEmon I saw, and it was not a particularly fast one, with Stock tires, was going 10.0 over an over again. And the guy admitted to me that he had no idea hat he was doing.. So I gave him a few pointers, but I don't know if he went any faster.

that's one fate the vast majority of new 500s will share with it, owned by retired baby boomers and rotting away in garages...

unfortunately I think Ford had a lot to do with this being that they set the price for these at astronomical levels.
the average person with a brain who isn't going to spend more money on a car payment then their mortgage (or rent) probably wont own one for a while.

If the GT500 can 60’ below 1.5 like the Redeye/Demon do with ease, it’ll be quicker/faster than the redeye without a doubt.
