So my 03 cobra developed a rear end vibration. Finally got it under the lift at work and checked some stuff out in the rear end. I do need all bushings in the irs, they are all toast. U joints are good and tight. All 4 Halfshaft boots have slung out the grease at some point in their life. I did not check my pinion angle so i will be checking that soon. Differential needs a rebuild.
My question here is if i tear off my boots and make sure the inner and outer joints are fine where can i find the boots??? I have looked everywhere. How do i know if they are stock halfshafts or upgraded?
If i do have to end up replacing the bushings and maybe rebuilding my diff aswell as replacing my whole halfshafts. Im looking at probably somewhere in the 3000 dollar range to rebuild my rear end. Which is ridiculous. If it comes to that point i might aswell just sell the irs as is and do a SRA swap.
