So far Dodge has only outsold the Mustang once in a single month with the Challenger and I believe that is likely due to heavily discounting them. For as many as you see they dont outsell the Mustang year over year. They have something cool going with their lineup but with their failure to update the Charger/Challenger that popularity is going to fizzle out in time and people will get tired of their cars and get tired of seeing their same car on every corner.

Agree completely. FCA needs a replacement for the current platform soon. Hell even if its to shave a little weight and a slight design freshening.

Cant deny though that the LX platform has made and continues to make them an assload of money. Hardest they have had to work is body engineers figuring out how to put each Hemi or Hellcat variant in the cars, lol.

We can agree to disagree :)

Ford has some BIG things in the pipeline that will bring a lot of [positive] attention their way once released.
I don't think Ford is falling behind on these things.

Just because you've "always" done something, isn't a good enough reason to keep doing it.

Exactly, something I’ve always done is buy ford. And after the way they’re changing their business model and lineup, I’ll definitely not keep doing it that way.

ford has some big things in the pipeline? Ok, I’ll bite, like what? Oh that’s right, can’t give out any info with a timeline so far out it doesn’t matter.

The average person is not buying the performance vehicles like they used to, period.

Will people on this, or any other car forum, admit/understand that..no lol Because we aren't "average buyers" when it comes to that regard.

The average people aren’t buying performance cars? I would disagree with that, look at all the newer import cars that are becoming more performance oriented, I.e Kia,Hyundai And people are buying them up.

the import companies are filling voids that the American companies stopped catering to a while ago.

I'd love to see a well done Bronco and not a 2 cylinder variant either. If they can build a better Jeep than Jeep I'm all ears. If you are confident they can get it done Nick, I'll be heading your way again in the near future.

I agree that the Charger/Challenger platform needs an update, it's getting long in the tooth for sure. My point is FCA is offering choice, you want a V6 grocery getter with performance styling? got one, want AWD? got one, want more power? how much do you want? Same as with the Grand Cherokee, lots of engine choices. If FCA can stuff a Hellcat motor between the fenders of a Grande Cherokee, I see no reason why Ford couldn't offer a 5.0 option in the Bronco. Please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is there will be minimal if any engine options available other than the 2.3 EB in the Bronce. From my standpoint, the only people that benefit from that strategy is Ford Motor Company by way of reduced costs.

Where are those contract photos coming from? Ford confiscates phones and makes everyone sign NDAs before even seeing the Bronco. Any information getting out is a big problem to them. Plus there are two blatant typo's. I've talked to a Bronco guru who saw the Bronco and said it wont be made public until after Jan 1

Not sure why all the complaints? You can just go to your local ford store with $495k + a butt hole kiss and score yourself a sweet Ford GT! Something for everyone !

Meh, it's a V6. I was in my local dealer a couple days ago, none in stock and none expected any time soon. I think it would take more than kissing ass too.

I was just thinking to myself when I started this thread how disappointed I am with Ford making all of my decisions for me. For shit sake, for the limited choices you get, nothing should be as expensive as Ford makes it. Just looked at a 2.7 ecocrap boost that my local dealer wants $48k for...lol.
If I want a diesel, add $4500 for a 3.0l and $9k+ for a 6.7 Powerstroke diesel. Oh yeah...got to buy a Lariat F150 for the 3.0 L diesel option...and then we are STILL charging extra for an engine....GTFO...

I almost said “let FCA do the bronco, they’ll give it the power we want”...then realized jeeple have begged for more power for YEARS and they just don’t get it. With ford’s current path, no way this thing gets any kind of meaningful horsepower.

That is one I don't understand, the Jeep has never had an overabundance of power. Still one of the most popular vehicles out there.

one of our local jeep clubs is called heard of turtles... I don't think the majority of jeepers give two shits about HP when its all about axles, gearing and MOST importantly.. led light bars

I get why they limit the power, since everyone immediately goes out and puts a gigantic tire on it and tries to snap things. So way i see it, if FCA is cool enough to give a GC the hellcat motor, but still won’t give JT/JL anything more than a V6, and soon a small diesel, i just can’t see ford one-upping them in this area.
