Anyone playing this? I cant seem to get into it. Campaign is super cheesy and i feel like the whole game has just been rebadged as a different game and then resold to the public.

Oh, look! You can halfway open a door! Oh wow, you can play with nvgs!

Annoying how almost every other mission is pitch black.

And if they wanted to make this game more realistic why are there perks?

Come on, seeing people through a wall?

What is that?

Where is the next battlefield?..

/end rant

Ive been wondering what people thought about this game. It's been so so from what I've seen

I will probably skip it until it hits Steam or some store for super cheap

To be fair I'm out of town so I've only played about an hour so far but I love it. Way better than anything they've released in the last several years. Much more realistic.

I really think it comes down to play styles. I havent even been able to get into any battlefield games. I admit they are great games, and probably a better game as far as shooting goes than call of duty but the maps are too big, game play is too slow for me. I prefer the fast paced run and gun that is call of duty. Seems like battlefield I spend 60% of the time running from spawn back to the action just to get killed again. I'm also much better at call of duty. Near the top of the game score wise vs battlefield near the bottom.

Modern warfare has went back to their roots with the game vs the jumping on walls made up guns that the last games have been plagued by. This is the first call of duty I've purchased in a few years.

Bottom line I think it comes down to the play style you prefer, battlefield is great in it's own way and so is modern warfare.

I still miss playing Battlefield Vietnam in college. Even setup a dedicated server for it.

I was a beta tester for the Point of Existence mod for Battlefield Vietnam. I was a in a clan -RaV- for a time and they were firends with the devs.

Great mod and the base game was great too

This is the first “real” video game I’ve played in about 6 years. I’m liking it. I think it’s cool as **** that multiplayer is across all platforms. I’m using an Xbox controller on PC, although I do suck...Name on there is the same as here if you want to add me.

Nope

I gave up on COD long ago. Don’t get me wrong. I wish I still had it in me.. I remember MW2 playing for hours a day with guys, and had my game room back then.

I wish I could still get into it. Though it’s probably just me. Borderlands is my favorite game of all time and I can’t get the motivation to play it.

my favorite times though as a gamer was akimbo g18s or an intervention in MW2 with friends.

I think though that had to do with being in my early - mid 20s when all of us had more time. Sure I have time now.. but the motivation to game just isn’t there anymore

..wow.. didn’t think this would turn into this sort of Post. Damn

I spent too much of my life playing COD Black Ops in 2011. It was the perfect triangle, I was laid off a few months, my younger brother was semi-employed and his buddies all wanted to play hours a day. We wrecked shit online and thought it was great.

It was fun at the time but looking back i wish it never happened.... I could have looked harder for work, worked out more or smashed more pussy.

Oh well, live and learn

Here is my experience so far.

Beat the campaign. Very good story and I really like how they connected it to the first COD MW. You'll see what I mean when you beat the game.

Multiplayer is good. Action is fast paced, maps are larger, newer modes (Ground war which is 32v32, then 2v2 squads) plus the classic modes like TD, Search and Destroy, Headquarters, etc. They also have co-op spec ops which is great and offers a challenge. It continues the campaign story a bit too.

Elevation also plays a huge factor in the game too.

I've played BF3, BF4 and BF5. BF4 was good, but, they all have the same thing in common. Very unrealstic one-shot kills from a MASSIVE map with almost no effort. Even though there is elevation, too many people were able to somehow make consistent miracle shots.

Fyling was tough, tanks were cool. But, the maps were simply too large and don't have the time or patience to play a single match for 40 minutes.

I agree, bring back bad company. Those were good games. I did read that there is a BC 3 in the works. Not sure how solid that is, though.

If you like being camped to death this game is for you. Way to many corners and rooms to hide in. Claymores behind every door. Shotguns are 1 shot kills most of the time. The spawns suck. The maps are huge. The footsteps are extremely loud. No dead silence except in field drops which doesnt last long.

With that said so far im liking it. Just be prepared to take 2 steps and die right out of the spawn over and over.

It helps kill time. I’ve only played multiplayer so far. Not my favorite COD by any means - but I don’t think it’s awful. Not really a huge fan of any of the maps.

It (very) vaguely reminds me of rainbow 6

They really improved the guns on this one. I think thats one of the things I'm most impressed with, the sounds, the reload animations, the gunsmith, all of it is great. Finally have a day off tomorrow that I can play. I should get a solid 7 or 8 hours in, going to give hardcore mode a try as that's all I've really played since COD4.

I’m really enjoying it. Exactly what I’ve been asking for and the best CoD since MW3 (unless you count MWR). Movement feels a little slower than usual but that might just be all of the Apex that I’ve been playing.

The campaign is fun but glitchy. I’ve had texture issues, pop-ins, and even a mission that froze and soft crashed my XB1 every time I tried it. Had to move to the bedroom and play it on my XBS. Other than technical issues, my biggest complaint with the campaign is the fact that during the methodical room to room sweeps, you’re almost never point. And the hallways and stairwells are so narrow that it’s hard to see what is even going on.

One question, has anyone tried unlocking the challenges with hardcore matches? I’ve got a challenge where it’s “get 75 kills in TDM”. I played HC TDM for over an hour, checked the challenge status and it was still 0/75.
