so I was getting a code for IMRC stuck open and the car would “hiccup” occasionally at idle, would idle rough after driving (and sometimes die, I say rough meaning idle bounced between 1000 and 200 rpms) and would seem to “misfire” under normal driving at mid-RPMs.

I tore off manifold and discovered it had IMRC delete plates. I think I’m gonna go back with stock IMRC plates as my SCT does not let tune for IMRC removals.

Anyone else have experience with running the delete plates without a tune and if so, how was it running?

Its gonna be had to find good working conditions IMRC plates.

Most add gears 410s or 430s. Then have the car tuned for the deletes with no issues.

How should I go about getting a tune for the delete? My tuner (SCT x4 doesn’t have configuration for this setup). Not really to pay for dyno tune on a car that I’m trying to just running right.

If you need a set of low mileage plates and the controller I have a set that I took off my 97 Cobra last winter. Pm me and we can discuss.

Only a tuner will be able todo this for you. So if your not ready to get tuned then you may have to bite the bullet and pay for the stock plates.

lasota racing sent me a tune I was able to use my sct handheld for just the delete and it was only about $50. This was like 10 years ago so pricing may be different.
