Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any back to back results on a HIGH boost Vortech/Paxton/Procharger setup with a Griptec pulley. I've been looking at getting a 3.33" griptec pulley and a 2.90". But want to know if it's worth it with the 3.33" Seems like a good idea and I read the results on low boost, but nothing on high boost.

Any input would be great!!
@beefcake got any input? You're the premier Vortech guy..

I haven't ran a Griptech pulley yet, they are designed to gip a lot more so if you are getting belt slip it could help.

Ok thanks for the feedback. someone somewhere has to be running it lol. Maybe I'll be the first one and give some good back to back data? You think griptec is looking for any cobra guys to do a back to back?

I have not made the move to a Griptec yet but have had decent success with the Gates RPM belts. I'm running an 8rib Procharger setup with a 3.90" pulley and the logs haven't shown any slip yet.

Yea my logs aren’t showing any really. I mean it’s not a perfectly smooth line as to be expected with a serpentine belt but nothing crazy.

I have logged boost and showed no signs of belt slip at all. I'm only making 24-25psi of boost, I'm not sure what levels of boost you're looking to run, but I'm happy with the setup I have so far.

That’s what I’m looking to hear. On the 2.90” I’ll be up there around 22-23psi.

just bought a 3.5 for my procharger but unlike every other pulley in the world their double shoulder doesn’t clear... I should only be around 19psi though

I brought this up in the procharger tech support group and one of the mopar guys said the griptec let their f1 cars break through some previous boost plateaus

I didn’t ask for specifics though

Is it hitting the alternator? I machined my alternator down and also machined all my pulleys to clear as well.

hits the alternator and timing cover. I was told they either have a single shoulder available or can take the shoulder off this one, we’ll see.

the shoulders on this thing are quite a bit thicker and taller than both procharger and RR

put my RR back on, this time I put my purse down and was able to get a belt one size smaller on. My thump has some tension problems but that’s a whole other thread

I have both there 3.4 and 3.6 pulleys and the 3.4 fit with no issue but the 3.6 needed a little bit of grinding on the alternator to fit.

I have not gotten a chance to test either yet but I’m only expecting 17 or so with my d1

Nice. Good feedback guys. I’m thinking about reaching out to griptec and seeing if theyre interested in a side by side. Boost log and time slips.

Just as a heads up you may need a different length bolt with their pulley. I dont know if my RR 8 rib was using the same length bolt as a procharger pulley or not but it was about 1/8" too long for the Griptec pulley/hub combo. It bottomed out before it was tight
