About 3 years ago I found a 1st gen Bronco down in AZ for like $6k that was in pretty good shape.

I really, really should have bought that.

Yes in 1992 it got the 4l80 and had 255hp. Also you could get it white and I "think" red.

Wrong see above^^

The Sierra Denali was called the C-3, and it was pretty damn cool for it's time. It was GMC's version of the Silverado SS, but I'm not sure the Silverado had quad steering.

The 1990 truck had a TH400 3 speed.
The Silverado SS didn’t have quadrasteer. The C-3 did have quadrasteer.

So I just skimmed the first Ep again and noticed them trying to spin an FL-820S oil filter on the L. Shouldn't it take an FL-1A?

i couldve sworn Fl-820s is the filter for the 5.4L modular. I seriously doubt the windsor small block 351 uses the same filter.

I had 2 friends with 454SS's back in the day. Both badass. One ran low 11's and the other had a fully built stroker and nitrous running bottom 10's. Both beasts on the street.

I love the 1st Gen Lightning. Still pissed at my buddy for selling his out from under me.

I drive my first gen Lightning quite a bit when the weather is nice, and it makes me smile every time.

Mine just turned 140k. It's close to stock but has a punisher valve body and I'm pretty sure it has an aftermarket torque converter. Excellent shape well maintained runs perfectly.

I found a great deal local to me and couldn't pass it up. I practically stole this truck compared to the prices they are going for nowadays.

I wanted to do a remote mount turbo like that on my 5.0 explorer. That thing would be fun with the full time AWD and like 400whp.

So.... obviously late to this party, but i found my password again and here we go. My understanding is that they ( owners of the POWERBLOCK content) have released all the old episodes onto youtube, which is fun! I leftthe show in 2014, but stay in touch with some of the guys, Ryan Shand being one of them. As far as the filter goes, I am fuzzy on the part number, but whatever filter i spun on to the engine worked, held pressure, and filtered the oil, so perhaps there's crossover between some of them as far as gasket size and thread pitch. OVerall, i loved the performance of the truck, and especially the squires tailpipe system woke it up. I think we saw a max of 7 - 8 lbs boost but it sure increased the fun. Thanks for rewatching!!!! I'll have to do the same; it seems like that was a lifetime go. KT
