Im thinking of switching over to a return fuel system along with the newly released ms3 pnp so I can get flex fuel capabilities.

My question is if running the stock feed line as the return will suffice or bottle neck. I would want the system to be able to handle around 800hp on e85. I’d hate to have a perfectly good line just sitting there not used.

I would disconnect the upper part of the fuel line in the engine bay and put a 5/16 to a -an fitting on the line near the fender and plumb the flex fuel sensor there. As well as another fitting where the stock fuel filter connects to adapt the line to -an to go back to the division x hat.

I would recommend -8an feed return at the smallest. I am sure someone will say their buddies cousin's friend made 1800rwhp on E98 with stock lines but I would not/do not run the stock line.

Don't use the stock line for return. And there is no reason to leave it there unused, just remove it.

You guys would recommend -8/-8 for both feed and return? I only ask cuz I'm lining up my fuel system and have a -6 penciled in for the return line.

I'm running -8 Feed and -6 return with no issue myself but I know a lot of people run -8 both ways.

The return size is just as important as the feed side if you were to "budget" anything on the fuel side you'd want to use the EVAP line as it's much larger but even still after the cost of the fittings to make it work it's not much more expensive to just get a good quality return line.
