I purchased my 17' GT350 on Sept 8. On Sept 26, I left Florida(St Petersburg) enroute to Monument Valley, Albuquerque, and Dallas.

I was pretty impressed with fuel mileage overall.

The best parts was the scenery without question.
Imagine this view about 100 times.

They also had a NEW car show similar to the MotorTrend North America show, but this is Texas where everything is bigger. Easily as many trucks outside as cars inside.
Pretty sweet looking GT500 tho.

As for the drive, I'm 6'1 185lbs. Never had any seating issues with my back or legs. My next town commute was never more than 5hrs or 300mi. Check Engine Light appeared about 2000 miles in AND 150 after oil change. My guess was a sea level car used to humidity is now operating at elevation and much drier air. Motor and all associated gauges were in line. After 5 days and now in Dallas for 4 days, I book an appointment at dealer. That morning to run it over upon cranking, CEL is off.

The only downside on trip is traversing crappy roads. The car is very darty on uneven, crater like back roads. Out West, everything is rough. Rocks. Dirt. Sand. Dust. Forget about wiping car down if windy. I drove mainly between 8a and 4pm. I10, I25, I40 and state roads.

The upside is the car is a total blast to drive on decent roads. Especially with the windows down. Weather was fantastic. 70's in the day. 50's at night. Only rain was leaving Florida and returning.

Cheers

Very cool. I grew up out West and miss the scenery and wide-open stretches. The sunsets out there are awesome. Great-looking car, too.

You didn't get caught in that rain I see (wet pavement) in the Texas State Fair photo? Glad you had a great time on the cool road trip.
