Thinking of buying this one. Advice please.

Hi, Team. Things are starting to come together for me and Im looking for a mid mile, near stock, local, clean carfax, dsg.

This one somewhat fits my intent and its within my price range. We have been talking off and on since March, 2019. It has 5 owners.

Here are my questions.

1. Does anyone know about this car? History?

2. Anyone close to it?

3. What do you notice in the pics that I should be concerned about?

4. Thoughts on price?

5. Any advice?

I would start by asking for a better picture of the drivers left side bolster and what mods are currently on the car. Is the car pullied and tuned? I would also ask for a compression check and a thorough inspection by a reputable mechanic. Car Fax don't always tell the whole story. It's your money, protect yourself. Good luck.

I would ask for more pictures all around or just go see it in person. My main questions when looking are this

Miles?
How many owners?
Accidents?
imperfections/blemishes?
leaks, squeaks, pops or grinds?
How long have you had it? Why are you selling?
VIN?
Can you send pictures of the pinch welds?
Do you mind if I pay for a compression check before purchase?

I didn't inspect each and every picture on that listing, but the one thing that did pop out at me was the rust on the heat exchanger bracket.. Usually if there is a little rust anyway, it will be somewhere else. Just something to consider.

I know of a Sonic blue car that is or will be for sale in your area. Has 70k miles with a TVS. He just got back from deployment and I was interested in his car before I found one closer to me.

price is high for that mileage, IMO. Wait until Dec/Jan and you will find a REALLY good "winter" deal.
