Will this be harder to tune than the ZR1?

yes and that feat took industry leading tuners a year to crack that nut....by all accounts this new ecu is even tougher, like the ZR1 its encrypted, but an even tougher level of encryption is being used....this ECU is effectively under lock and key for time being. I bet GM is gunning for some of those aftermarket profits, perhaps they will hand a select few tuners and shops the keys to the castle for the right price...

AFAIK that ECU will be very difficult to crack, don't think we are going to see anything right away. HPtuners, Efi Live gotta figure it out before anyone shoves a donkey dick cam in one. Now a holley efi setup could probably be used for engine mgmt etc, piggyback type scenario, but doing that is still going to be a PITA...

Throw a baby cam in and run a piggyback get that fast pass and be internet famous

I guarantee there are much easier ways to make that power, even a baby shot of nitrous will make more than cam only on an other wise stock motor. You could probably get away with 50-75 shot untuned.

I just don't think it will be very easy...even the old gen III motors needed tuning to even start and idle a moderately sized cam.

So you’re saying a 100 shot should be enough to run rape trains on street?

I'm likely in the minority, but I'd be quite satisfied with 2.8 sec. 0-60 and 11.1 @ 123 quarter mile with the factory tune. Honestly, the only mods I'd probably consider might be exhaust and intake. Now if someone wants to track the C8 fairly regularly (or street race, or just want MORE), then having the ability to upgrade the factory tune is a must.

Folks, it is mind blowing that we're seeing monster performance from the manufacturers, with 0-60 times under 3 seconds pretty common, and 1/4 mile times in the 11s and 10s pretty common. At prices a lot of us can somewhat afford. We're living the high life, performance wise. I'm excited about seeing what higher performance C8 models will offer. And what Ford and Dodge have in store for the future. And the other manufacturers.

Dodge will just roll out another Motor for their tried and true 30yr old platform. That sucker will put a lot of much higher end cars on notice for sure

first video I saw of the car that involved some commentary on how it drives as a normal car.
