How are the Recaros?

I've been checking out cars and I found a couple in some nice colors but they don't have the Recaros? Can that be a deal breaker? Are the Recaros a significantly better seat?

Thanks

I like mine a lot, but do wish they had heaters. I wouldn't consider them a deal breaker, but that is up to you and your intended purpose with the car....

That's the issue I'm running into. I can live without the glass roof...even the track pack, but I would at least like the Recaros, PP. Shaker and Nav. Dammit, some of the colors I want seem to be missing something

+1 on deal breaker for me also. I love the recaro’s. The factory seats are super comfortable, but if you are gonna throw it around, drive aggressively, enjoy the curves, etc., you will want the recaros as well. They also give the whole car a great aggressive look and feel too (IMHO). You do sacrifice the power controls and heater options however. Like Norton said, try both. It really boils down to intended use and personal preference.

The Recaros aren't power? Anything? Tilt, backwards, forwards, etc.? None?

EDIT: I'm reading the FAQ's now and found my answer.

Thanks

You can swap a power base on to the driver’s side Recaro if that’s an issue for you.

Patience is key! There will be more on the market as the 2020 becomes a reality. Some can't resist a new and shiny toy, even if it no longer includes a clutch and stick.

I ordered my car.
Recaros and glass roof were the only two absolute requirements.
36 waist and big shoulders here, very comfortable and definitely more so than the GT350, but my next 500 will have them also.
I’d rethink the glass roof.

Recaro's weren't an option in 2011, which for me made it a " must have " on the 14.
My ( 1 ) option 2011, ( glass roof ) was followed by my ( 2 ) option 2014, ( glass roof & Recaro's )................Yes, people pay $ 1600 for " manual " seats..

Oh man, those seats are nice.

This is what I'm ready to pull the trigger on: Used 2013 Ford Mustang For Sale | Yuma AZ VIN: 1ZVBP8JZ2D5232640

I already negotiated the price down $1000 and got approved for financing. I've got the sales contract in front of me but I'm hesitant to sign.

Here are the reasons:
1. I can live without the roof but I would like the Recaros.
2. I would like a 2014 but seeing that there are only 48 freakin' blue w/white stripe coupes and Recaros, so those chances are slim. There are only 13 regular seats with white in 2014 also so it's going to definitely be harder to get a blue 2014.

2013 seems to be the best bet since there are 283 coupes in 13 versus on 166 in 14. I was thinking of just holding out and waiting. Maybe those 166 owner will get 2020 GT500 fever and dump their cars.

Holy crap!!! Look at this: 2013 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 for sale 1520 GBE - BenzaMotors

You know what, I need to follow @Norton 's advice and be patient and relax. That blue with black is hot....and it has Recaros. Too bad the price is about $10K too high.

I have a GB/Blk Stripe 13 model with Glass roof. No recaros but Glass Roof was higher priority for me. It's a rare combo to find for sure.

Offer the dealer $50,999 and see what they say. Just let them know you have money in hand and looking at 2 other cars with same mileage but much lower price.
