10 bolts are fine on the street, you will likely never break one there....the track with decent prep is another story....BAM! Unless its an auto car, 10 bolts behind the auto at the track seem to hold up. My buddy Charlie went deep in the 10s on his 10 bolt...
I grenaded my 10 bolt 3 times. Twice on the street and once from a roll lol.

. I have never broken a 10 bolt on the street (knock on wood)...have broken 1 at SAR in a bolt on car(01 nbm Z28, t56 on drag radials), lmfao. I have broken two 8.8s in my old HCI nitrous 94 GT..once from a roll hit on 1960, split carrier into 3 pieces. Another out in Katy doing a dig race against my buddies 69 Chevelle SS, ended up losing axle, wheel etc..

Yes sir, and guilty as charged lol. This was my '95 Z28 that had a 396 LT1 and a big shot of gas. Destroyed the 10 bolt on the track, then from a dig on the street, then from a low roll spraying the full shot. After that I had enough and put a Moser 12 bolt in. Crazy enough the T56 was completely stock and never missed a beat. Gotta love when they were made by Borg Warner. I loved that car.

Agreed, if there is no cost savings, there is no point.
