As the title states, my C6z has been sold for a few months, so now I'm getting the itch for something fun again.

Plan on picking up an 03 DSG car locally with low'ish miles. It already has a tune, bolt on's with a ported stock blower and a 2.9 upper

Anyone else made the switch from a Vette to a Cobra?

It will be nice to hear your thoughts on the terminator.

After a few months and maybe more power

This may feel slow

If you are a die hard terminator fan or always wanted one, I would get one. They are pretty bad ass. collectible, you don't see many around, and they just feel raw. If not, I would get a coyote. More refined, you can make a lot of power and they feel great on the road.

Welcome. Its a different feel. I came back after years away. Like above said, it just feels raw. I do desperately need more power but its so fun to drive.

Its not going to be fast enough coming from a Z.

I'd recommend putting a aftermarket blower on it immediately.
Second this. If you're use to the H/C/I setup that most Z's run these days, you'll want to for sure go to a bigger blower for more power...

I had an 08 z for I don't know, 5 months maybe and switched back to a cobra.

The Z was one of my favorite cars I've owned and imo, there is no comparison to the 03/04 cobra.

That being said, I have other reasons I switched and love my car. Hard to beat a terminator, everyone loves them.

I went from a Terminator to a C5 Z06, then back to a Terminator. The Cobra's are definitely more raw, they don't drive or handle as well as the Vette, but there is just something about them that keeps people coming back.

I own a 2009 Corvette Z06 10K miles, pretty much stock, other than heads addressed and a tune the original owner who was a corvette race car driver put on the car. Awesome car and still have it. The Terminator Cobra was the car I have always wanted but couldn't find a Sonic Blue that was right. I waited and waited and finally 1 month ago I bought a 19K mile Black 03 Cobra that in excellent 9.5/10 condition. It is stock with only an exhaust and has the stock eaton and never had the pulley changed or tuned.
Both cars are ****ing awesome, for now I'd say the Terminator is funner but that's probably just because its newer to me. If u sold the Z, go get a Terminator!

Damn, a lot of positive reviews from C6Z owners. Personally, the time I've had with the 08, it became an utter piece of shit. WAY more rattles than the mustang, and just overall, became more and more uncomfortable. It ran good, but was kind of boring on the street compared to even a lightly modded 03. I think vs a stock 03/04, you're going to NEED to do something to up the fun level, but other than that, the ride isn't far off and you gain a bit more room with a lot more low end power. WIth the mods already done, I think you're going to be happy with it. Enjoy it for a little while then decide if you need the blower or not.

I have owned both a 03 cobra and C6Z at the same time. I sold my C6Z after 4 years of ownership last November. Very fun car but was no where near as fast as my terminator. Which is full built making 830rwhp (sae). I feel blessed that I got to the experience both at the same time. Can't go wrong with either. End of the day I chose to hold on to my cobra not because of financial reasons, both cars were paid off bought the C6Z cash. I sold it because time to move to something different...

I bought C7Z w/Z07 about 7 months ago, it's an amazing car. I will probably sell it one day but will keep my terminator foreva lol.

The other day I was outside with both the C7Z and Terminator parked in front the garage.
4 people walk by...
1 person said hey that's a nice vette...then goes...Is that a real Cobra? What's done do your cobra?
3 people asked about the cobra without asking about the vette

Cobras are such fun to drive and Corvettes are nice as well, but I personally never was a vette guy and I will keep my Cobra for as long as I can drive. I think if I purchased a new car (toy) it would be a GT-350R, I run with them at track events and they sound ssoooooo good. But that said $70,000 is out of my price range and I even pass some with my Cobra on the track. It's all about what a person likes and feels good in, we are all different and that is a good thing !
