I had a Maximum Motorsports pedal height adjuster in the car and the cruise control worked fine. I switched to the Steeda set up and the cruise control is no longer working. I checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood and they all checked good. So I replaced the clutch safety switch thinking that was the culprit. Still no go. The car won't start if the clutch is out. My first thought was clutch position, but the pedal is closer to stock height than it was before. Plus I've tried holding it in different positions while turning on the cruise just to see. I don't know if the brake light switch also controls the cruise control. But I still have brake lights. I really want to figure this out before my trip to Vegas in November.

Reset the switch on brake pedal
Remove rod from pedal push rod into switch than push pedal down to hook rod back onto post.

Are you talking about the one that goes up and down? I'm guessing you need someone to push on the pedal to reach the switch.

It’s a solo job all by hand.

Switch is on left side of brake pedal

Brake light switch is at end of pedal so not that.

You said you changed pedals so you may have missed something

On stock it’s on left side of brake pedal.
Just a plastic box with a rod that hooks to pin

This is the shut off switch for cruise control when you hit brakes.

It’s in our manual if you need more info but that’s about what is says to reset

Thank you. I pushed it back until it clicked but I had to pull it back out to reach the pedal.

I only messed with the clutch pedal. I removed the Maximum Motorsports height adjuster and put in the Steeda stop. I needed a little more throw for the dual disk clutch.

I'll try again later this week. I put some Leatherique on the seats today and I need to let that sit.

So I tried the reset and still no go. But I came across a thread that hotcobra03 posted in and it mentions if the third brake light is burned out cruise control won't work. My son got me a sequential third brake light from Carbon Driven for fathers day. And I honestly can't remember if I've done any long trips since then. I'm wondering if it's a lighter load so the CC circuit sees it as a bad light. I'm going to swap in my stock light and see what happens.

Hope this helps.

Check horn. That fuse is in engine box.

LED lights used on rear brakes is listed as may cause.

I never seen that self test with flash codes. Cool.

Today was good/bad I guess. I swapped out the brake light with the stocker. No change. I checked all the fuses again and they're good. I checked them with a DMM just to be sure.

I went to do the self diagnosis and realized these cars don't have the indicator on the dash. I had forgotten. Guess I'm too used to my truck. So I've tried resetting the brake switch both by pushing it in and pulling it out. Both ways it clicks. I don't know if that's good or bad. But it looks like I'm going to have to do the pin test. Yay.

I fixed it! I didn't realize there is another switch under the quadrant. With the MM adjuster the quadrant moves back to the original position. With the Steeda stop the quadrant doesn't return that far. So that switch wasn't being closed. I wrapped a zip tie around the switch and bolted it back in place. I didn't see any adjustment and to be honest I was tired of being under the dash. I never use the clutch to cancel the cruise control anyway.
