I've always ran ARH, good quality, but they're a bitch to install. I've recently heard good things about LTH headers. But no experience with them yet.

I can’t see any good 1 7/8”-2” header in this chassis sliding in. I let SW do my first set and the second 2” ARH were done while the new engine went in.
After fighting a 1997 Cobra on my back I vowed lift only or I’ll pay. Think about it this way, I have 2 lifts $1300 2-post $2000 4-post and paying a shop for one header install covers the majority of a decent 2-post.
Even if you have a lift they’re a pain in the ass, but doable by average car guys.

Kooks on both cars, 1 3/4 on the 11, 1 7/8 on the 14.
The shop that did the work on both ( JDM ) mentioned the 1 7/8 took longer to install..

Headers on old cars were a PITA. Can't even imagine attempting it on a new one. I am content with my cast iron manifolds. Good luck OP!

Dynatec here. Piece of cake but the engine was on the floor when installed.

LT's were done along other mods, I would guess around 25 @ the tires.
N.J. is an inspection state, also running Kooks " green cats ", & I have stock mufflers.
I can sit @ a stoplight next to a LEO, & not get pulled over. It gets pretty loud when you put your foot in it.

Did the Kooks 1 7/8 on my 11. Fit great and have plenty of ground Clearance. I also like how easy it is to swap out the mid pipes to catless for off-road use. With the cats and stock mufflers it’s just slightly louder at idle and when you step on it it’s plenty rowdy. Installed them myself on the lift with the K member down, tight squeeze but fit great and easier than my 04.

This is a good thread, and I have a question....

what driveshaft safety loop are folks using with their headers.
I ask only, IIRC, if you go Kooks the Metco safety loop is the only compatible one?
