Following the reveal of the Tesla Semi way back in November 2017, Elon Musk, in typical Tesla fashion, pulled out a huge surprise: the all-new Roadster. Yes, the Tesla Roadster is coming back, and we should see it on the road sometime next year.

The performance of the new Roadster will blow your mind and, of course, it's the primary focus since the Roadster is in the supercar/hypercar category. Let's jump right into the numbers.

Specs
  • 7,376 pound-feet of torque
  • 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds (with optional SpaceX thrusters), making it the quickest production car in the world.
  • 0-100 mph in 4.2 seconds.
  • Quarter mile in 8.8 seconds, which beats every other production car.
  • 250+ mph top speed.
The new Roadster will use three electric motors – one in the front and two in the back – giving it through-the-road all-wheel drive.

The incredible power comes courtesy of a 200-kilowatt-hour battery. True to its name, you'll be able to remove the roof. And for added practicality, it'll seat four people, provided the reat seat occupants are of the smaller size.

I'm waiting for Ontario to bring back the rebates for the Tesla's. I will order a new model 3 the next day, for all the fuel i save with that car it will give me more time to Rock the stang and lightning even harder.

After seeing a Model 3 Dual Motor go FTD at a local autocross im sold. It literally beat cars that were prepped to the hilt yet all it had was a set of lighter wheels and RE71R's. Just cant argue with the torque at start.

Im kind skeptical that they plan on using cold gas thrusters to add performance. Sounds almost dangerous?

One of the reasons fighters and bombers will naturally move to being unmanned . . . the technology has officially exceeded what the human body can safely handle.

This car reminds me of that. The race to the fastest 0-60 and 1/4 mile times has officially gotten to where many won't be able to safely control the car because you'll be fighting G-forces.

And so . . . self driving cars naturally will become the answer. 20 years ago, it was just science fiction.

Its inevitable. Two things though that gas will always win are smell and sound. Nothing like a big block with a cam and nice set of headers and no cats. Cant make electric cars smell like raw fuel and sound like pure muscle.
Oh, someone will find a way, LOL. My brother has a Tesla. It is dead silent and took awhile for him to adjust to the silence. He now loves it. He says the thrust is mind blowing. I can only imagine what the roadster feels like 0-60. 1.5 seconds. Can't even imagine what that must feel like.

How much over a 100K is this car gonna cost?
I still want my V8 car though. The electric vehicles just haven't grown on me yet.
