Vinyl stripe repair

I was doing a paint correction this weekend & a small painted area came off the passage rear bumper white stripe by the license plate. Ford no longer makes these & I cannot source from ebay. I contacted on vinyl shop but thet only have 3m white & I am hesitant that it will match. How are others handling this? Recommendations are appreciated

Ford had always used 3m on the older stuff. Hopefully that's still the case. Good luck.

OK found an OEM stripe for the damaged piece ($$). It is in "Performance White". Does anyone know if this is the same vinyl stripe color as "Oxford White" on the 2008 stripe? I know that the paint colors on the car would be different, but I can't imagine Ford would change the basic vinyl stripe colors. any thoughts?

I'm guessing here, but just like the paint difference, Performance white has a warmer tone than the Oxford white does. Interested to know how yours turns out, because I have to do a paintless dent repair on my '13 and replace the passenger side stripe (it's scuffed).

Stripes on my 2011 were Colorado Red. ( D-3 )
Stripes on my 2014 were just Red, close to Race Red ( PQ ), the Co. that made the stripes for Ford gave me ( BRQA/TAA ) for a color code.

Depending on how big the tear is, I used some touch up paint I got here, Touch Up Paint and accessories | AutomotiveTouchup, and it does not look bad.

I got replacement stripes for some damaged areas from Ford Parts Giant. They told me very few dealers or retailers actually carry them, they ordered the stripes directly from Ford for me. You can try Tousley Ford also

I ended up just replacing the entire over the top stripes when i did my paint correction. Cost $450 for all stripes. The white isn't exactly the same as to OEM, but with all the stripes done, and the distance to the side stripes, you can't tell at all. I will post pics later.

What are you doing for work that puts you in Sicily?

Gotta love Ford…. I got an email that "performance white" was a 2007 stripe color white & it changed to "oxford white" in 2008. Tasca parts were great & caught this & changed my order. I did go by a vinyl graphics store & the 3m vinyl they had was close. I'm sure that if I replaced both stripes of the damaged section it would be very close, but my OCD wouldn't allow that.

Army on a Navy base. Thanks for the reminder, I'm not in Sicily anymore. Moved to Missouri.

What company made the strips for Ford. I would like to find out the color code for mine and re do mine since I have some rock chip damage on the front bumper.

I contacted them about the stripes on my 2014 Shelby, not sure what MY's they did stripes for Ford..
