I got to sit in a 2020 GT500, finally!

And I talked to Carl Widmann who said it will be limited to 180 mph top speed.
Did you happen to ask him why? The car would be mechanically maxxed out at around 190mph so I'm curious why they bothered limiting it at 180.

Not a fan of buff chicks, but to be real, the gt500 is more like this chick walking a runway.

•dct is a huge net performance plus regardless the weight.
•big brakes is a good thing
•big aero is helpful for turning and stuff. Ya.
•wider front fenders helps with turning and stuff. Ya.
•muscle women are a lot like the new joker movie. Sure, the acting and lighting, and story is fine, but no, I’ll pass on a 2nd viewing.

It’s a valid argument though. The gt500 isn’t heavy because ford got really really lazy. They just added racecar to a big dog streetcar.
•16” steel brakes ain’t light but it’s racecar
•aero is obviously racecar
•wider front fenders and track is race car
•supercharger is big dog street car.
•coolers to keep it decently reliable is racecar
•dct transmission is big dog street car and racecar
•big rolling stock is necessitated by the brakes.


Considering an s550 racecar is 3500lbs what did people honestly expect if they add an interior, sound deadening, ac, a supercharger system, and so on.
