Hi guys,

I've been noticing for the past while that my '14 is in "sport mode" even though the display says it is in "normal." If I toggle to sport and then back to normal it goes back to normal as expected. It doesn't happen all the time but enough that I'm curious what the issue may be and what the fix might entail. Thanks in advance.

I don't know that I have seen any other posts for the Bilsteins not working properly. They are pretty durable. If they aren't working correctly, they default to Sport.

How do you know it is in Sport when it states Normal? That is very odd.

Thanks for your reply Tom!

We have a stretch of concrete road with sections that exaggerate the ride. It is easy to tell if the car is in sport or normal along this stretch. If the Bilsteins aren't working correctly and default to sport, shouldn't the display read S as well? This is what is confusing to me. Everything I have read where there are problems with the Bilsteins, the display still displays the associated mode. Mine appears to display N when they are in S. Thoughts? Maybe I'm crazy? :)

FWIW, I swear I think mine does this from time to time as well. I keep it in normal mode but sometimes the ride just feels super harsh like it does in sport mode. When this happens I'll switch it to sport. When I do, I feel no difference whatsoever. I then switch it back to normal and I feel it loosen up. Weird.

I honestly thought I was just imagining this was happening or it was related to the aftermarket suspension parts somehow.

Default is Sport and the design of those electrical connectors is sketchy to me, so you may want to closely inspect the electronics (especially the front that comes out the bottom).
