Never knew if it was true but the "Director Of Operations" at my dealer in a fit of rage one day blurted out he makes 500k a year. No one seemed to question it so I think its true lol.

Is he over one store, or multiple?

made $40M across all 5 locations or whatever.

I'm not going to say that's wrong...but I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it lol

Is he over the whole store like general manager or fixed ops like service, parts, etc?

That seems a little high compared to what some of our bigger dealerships do out here.

I know the BMW dealership does around 900 cars a month on a really, really good month, but the GM is right around $500,000 a year or so.

I'm fairly certain the owner of the dealership made $40M across all 5 locations or whatever.
That's a ton of cars for any dealership much less just BMW's. I know Longo Toyota is the largest Toyota dealer in the country and they sell 20000-24000 just new toyotas per year.

We average 275-300 a month new and used and have very strong finance guys and parts and service operations.

Not picking on you but I believe this is what Nick is pointing at for this thread.
No offense taken.

Either way,.......a six figure income is a lot of cake. lol I guess I didn't read the OP's post quite thorough enough before answering/replying.

Yeah. It's a shit ton.

I remember when my wife was working there, like 2 days before the end of the new year they had multiple 90 car days.

Printing money there. Treat their employees like shit though.

He's above the GM but below the Dealer Principle. If there's an issue with anything he's the guy that takes care of it. He also does the hiring/firing.

I live in the wealthiest county in Texas and will tell you that income does not equal wealth. Most of these people live paycheck to paycheck, driving leased luxury cars, and spending way too much on things like clothes. They make huge incomes and have no wealth.

Let that resonate a little.

They make a lot of money and have no wealth.

The numbers seem simple enough and I agree with most as to what low, mid, and high six figures are. There aren't a lot of jobs where you are working for someone else that pay high six figures. Most people who work for a paycheck and get paid by someone else who are in the six figure income category are in the low to mid six figure range. The exception might be CEOs and professional athletes.

Well get on it. If I triple your sales is that worth $300k to you? Haha

Oh I get it. Fortunately, at this point of my life I'd rather have an extra 10 hours a week with my family than an extra $10k a month haha

I've visited several times. I have a buddy that owns the Ford dealership in Navasota, TX, and we use to run out to the Woodlands for the weekend.

Ok Im familiar with Team Ford out of Navasota, but why were you unhappy with the area? Im not following what you’re getting at.

I don't have anything negative to say about it! I loved the area. I was just saying that area has a lot of money.

It’s a very prolific trend around here. My wife calls them 100k per year millionaires.

They know how to spend it though. Lambos, Ferrari and I got a regular at work with multiple 570 McLarens.
