I need help understanding the mods to the car, it has a upper and lower pulley and I need a new belt but I need help with the pulley size, I measured the upper pulley from where the belt rides on with a micrometer and got 2.79 and if I measure from inside the grooves (the lowest point) I get 2.76, also on the lower pulley it measures with a tape measure from outside to outside 8 1/4in, can someone tell me what the exact pulley setup I have? also it has a 100mm idler below the upper pulley will that affect the belt length I need to order?

no I didn't change anything but I would like to know what I have for sure but the belt I took off was old and seemed way too tight and wanted to verify it was the correct length and I will possibly be replacing the upper pulley with the same size since the current pulley looks sort of rough.

Pulleys are usually measured at the top of the grooves where the belt rides. So you likely have a 2.8" upper and a +2lb lower.

If the tensioner was riding in the middle the belt length is fine. Measure the belt and you can make adjustments from there. Just remember you might not get exactly what you're looking for. Like my current set up would probably be perfect with a 76.75" belt. But my choices were 77.25" and 76.5".
