Did a search and found nothing on this.

Looking at brake options.
I currently have OEM 17" rims.... not looking to change them.

I like the look of the 13" Baer PRO kit especially for the fact that it states it will work with Most 17" wheels.
That said, does anyone have any knowledge of fitment issues with this kit and their oem 17" wheels?

Thank you, Kevin

I have that kit with stock wheels, no issues. Lots of clearance. Only thing I don't like is that the pads hang over the outer edge of the rotor.

This pic is from April 2012, when I still had the 17" stock wheels. I also have the Eradispeed two piece rotors.

This is how they look, seven years later behind 18" wheels.

How much over hang is there? Is it enough to cause the pad to form a lip that causes noise like the Subaru guys are experiencing with the ATS caliper kits?

Maybe 1/8" overhang? Probably enough to form a lip I would think. I drive 2k per year and have had the same pads on for 5-6 years with no issues so far. I can imagine problems arising if you really beat on the brakes though.

With all this talk of pad over-hang on the rotor, I went and took a good look at my setup. The pads have a red one of over-hang on my rotors and certainly nothing to stress about. The pads are a dark one close to the rotor hat.

I measured and it's 0.030-0.040" so nowhere near 1/8" like I had thought earlier. The "lip" that forms just flakes off as the pads wear.

I had those 6p brakes on with my stock 17" wheels. It worked.

For rear, I plan on upgrading the pads and rotors. Rear Sport Rotor 94-04 Cobra, Bullitt, Mach1

Probably will paint the rear calipers to match my fronts while at it.
Thanks for the information.

Is it too much of a hassle to get the Eradispeed rotors for the rears?
Only issue I can see with getting those in the rear is you need a thinner brake pad if using your stock caliper?

Anything else I'm missing?

^^^^I have the Eradispeed rotors in the rear, with the Hawk HPS pads. I didn't have any issues with the install. Just turn down the caliper piston till it bottoms out and you'll be good to go.
