So ive been noticing a good amount of clucking on the passenger side come to find out (what i figured) is that the passenger strut is shot. I have Eibach sport spring (which i know tend to shorten strut/shocks life) and Bilstein all around.

I don't see much options in terms of brand, do i keep Bilstein or is there anything better that will provide better handling? I see some people recommend Koni? What i use the car for coilovers would be over kill.

Bilstein B8's which may be the same as the HD's mentioned above. I thought stock were the B6's...?

You can have Bilstein rebuild and revalve your shocks and struts exactly to your specs.
For example, I had them R/R stock Cobra dampers to exactly match H&R Super Race springs.

So Bilstein will not repair the stock Blisteins that can on the car. You need to send them over to a 3rd party that rebuilds dumpers. So i think ill just buy a set of new Blisteins that are made for lower springs.

Did they give a reason why?

This the email chain:

Hi,

I have a 03 cobra which come with Bilstein strut and shocks stock from the factory. I believe these are still factory and not upgraded to B8, could you still repair these? The passenger side strut is cluck and you can feel it on the strut brace when rocking the car. Would it still be $126 for the replacement?

Hello,

Unfortunately we do not service OE shocks. We can offer a replacement which you can find using our online catalog HERE if you’d like, otherwise you can reach out to one of the following two companies below to see if they can offer a rebuild service on your OE Shocks:

Delta Vee Motorsports – Race Engineering – Ferrari Bilstein Shock Absorbers, Dampers – Moton AST – Rebuild Services

Performance Shock, Inc

That sucks the Bilstein wont R/R your struts.

I'd also like to add that if you have CC plates to check the spherical bearing the strut goes through. It's supposed to be an interface fit with a max axial play of .0005 inch (half a thousandth) according to MM. I had one with .002 play and it clunked so bad I thought the passenger front was about to fall off.
