How so? A payment of probably 600-800 a month for 5 years to end up with a vehicle with 80k miles on it. Just seems too expensive to me.

I was just anticipating some troll to come in to tell us all how much money they make and how "if you think 50-60k for a DD is too much you're living life wrong and need to step up to my level trollolololol"

Haha oh yeah. They’re out there. Shits bananas. No one has any real money but ready to jump into payments like this no problem. I bet @13COBRA sees it on the daily.

I see it with my home services company. Couple new cars in the driveway of a 600k house and they can’t afford 3500$ for their electrician. I need to start offering financing options. It’ll be fish in a barrel.

I see the Solar tech guys doing it around here and now I see solar panels everywhere...

Born and raised Brockton. Living in Naples.
I drove one a few weeks ago and it is nice, but not >$50k nice. I'd jump at $49, but not 50 to 60. The thing that killed it for me was the door handles - felt like my focus st. Thats acceptable for a 25-30k car, but not an 55k Explorer.

Drive the Lincoln Aviator - about the same money with the reserve 1 option. Night and day difference in quality for almost the same cost.
Let me get this straight cause you know. I was educated at Boston college. Not up to your standards I’m guessing.
For $49k and change you’re all in but at $50k you’re out?

Do you have any idea how ****in stoopid this sounds?
You claim to have all this disposable income? Huh. Yeah. Okay.

Again, the deal killer for me was the door handles. They had no business being in a $60000 vehicle. Do yourself a favor and go drive a Reserve 1 Aviator. It's not even a fair fight

The door handles?
I mean you can’t make this shit up. You’re out at $50k and you do not care for the door handles. Okay!

$49k, but not $50 eh?

I’ve talked to drunk and high bums that make more sense than you.

For $55K-60K you may want to look at a leftover 2018 SRT Durango with the 392 (6.4L). You can get the 2nd row captains chairs with the floor console, which is what I have.

.

Can’t wait till you make the final upgrade to that Prius.

After all, climate change is THE existential thread of our generation.

I collect butterflys and my wife is a circus clown, we would like to finance a platinum F350 for 11 years please

Exactly.

Car shopping while taking a break from filming an episode of House Hunters eh?

you beat me too it, damn.

OP keeps saying that the 2nd row being a bench is a deal breaker. Is it not an option on the 18/19s? My 13 Xsport had captain chairs. My current 18 Platinum doesn't. I've looked at the 20 XST and in my current situation not worth losing the money on the 18 for the upgrade. If I didn't have one, I'd probably get the ST but it would need moveable pedals for my short wife.

I wish. I asked for the 8yr plan on a STX F150
When its my turn on a new vehicle, Im going with an STX F350 CCSB 4x4 PSD. I dont need leather, BSM, radar cruise, cameras up the ass, gaudy exterior trim etc.

I need a solid and comfortable truck that can DD the future family, haul a load to go have fun with said future family and not be a little bitch off road. A vehicle like that, priced at 60k new, is the last new vehicle I buy for along time. But its rugged and dependable and capable, so the VALUE is there for whats asked.

Is the VALUE there for an 80K Platimun F-series, or 50K for an Explorer ST? Thats the question a buyer has to ask themselves. I just optioned a fully loaded Explorer ST.. for $63,420??!! For an Explorer to cost that much, you'd need to be high to justify the price.

It’s funny how value/what you’re willing to pay is all relative.

I didn’t blink at dropping $70k to DD a hellcat Challenger but cringe at the prospect of north of $40k for a truck.

Only though, I think, because of how I’d use it. (Haul crap around, beat on it, etc.).

But I’m seriously considering ditching the hellcat next year and dropping close to $100k on a trackhawk that will consolidate both of my needs into one vehicle (fast & fun but also functional).

And the prospect of that doesn’t bother me....but I’m still hung up on a truck being more than $40k.....

Totally irrational. I know...

Exactly, I don’t bat an eye at car stuff, blower kits, cylinder heads, cams etc...but 15 dollars for a pack of undershirts is too gdamn much!
