Hey guys my cobra needs new belts and I’ve got an extra metco auxiliary idler. Cobra currently has a Whipple adjustable idler. Other than trying to match the other idlers there is no motivation here.

I know Whipple doesn’t make their adjustable Aux idler anymore so not much info on it. Which is better? Any reason to use one over the other??

Dang, wrong section. Could one of the mods move this to the engine/tuning section?

Whipple still makes their idler. I bought mine a couple months ago. I prefer it over the stationary idler because it can accommodate different belt lengths. That was useful when I was changing alternator pulley diameters.

The Whipple idler is better. It's adjustable and it wraps the belt on the proper side of the s/c pulley.

For sure, plus it just looks so much better. Have had one for years and would never change it out.

Some more info on it: Engine
