Good take on racing a demon.

You know what, they aren’t wrong. You could walk the damn 1/4 mile by the time you take a street demon and do all this to it.

If the gt500 runs mid/high 10’s at 130+ Stock in street trim, venom killed demons. Do all that “stock” shit to a gt500 and it’s gonna run just as fast.

Take a stock demon on 315’s at all 4 corners and run laps against a stock base suspension gt500, and you’ll see the gt500 put a 1/4 mile on it a lap minimum. The handling pack car another 1/2 mile, and a full on carbon track pack car another 1/2 mile on it per lap in a 2-3 mile circuit. (Some exaggeration there)

So what does the demon run off the showroom floor?

Ive gone 9.98 in my demon, bone stock with the supplied crate parts from Dodge.
Will it go 9.65 as advertised, maybe......not with me driving though

When I was inquiring about this couple months back, I never found a Demon without the crate running any better than a 10.3.. Maybe a better run has surfaced idk

I would think a redeye widebody would be a good approximator of what a showroom stock demon ought to run. Pretty sure they run mid-low 10's (10.3-10.6ish) in the low 130's...

The redeyes are no joke! A friend has one, daily driver, tune and upper pulley, and running 9.3x

If I had raced it without the crate parts I would tell, guess I should of baselined it.
I did run a 10.4 from not turning on race mode/high octane mode if that helps.

Fastest RE with no seats, demon springs, skinnies and DRs went 10.01@136 at Atco.

Not at all. Dodge marketed a stock demon at 9.xx. Yet I the demon does not arrive to dealer in this way. It’s all an after market/dealer production stunt.

If it had been delivered to the dealer, no interior, slicks and skinnies would it have received a vin?

We're Mad? My modded Ford runs advertised Demon times in Florida and I do it with the timing lights lit... The Demon owners down here run their modded Demons in the N/T lanes out of embarrassment.

Im not even remotely a dodge/Demon guy but I fully respect the crate no matter how the Ford lawyers want to call it. It came from Dodge, fully warrantied and is a BAD ASS package I wish all top performance cars got. If Ford offered one you bet your ass it would be "factory".

Thats fast still. What most of us have been wanting to actually see is what the car truly runs off the lot the way they sell it too you. Its awsome as part of the package they sell you a whole crate with everything needed to go full on drag race.

We’re all interested to see what a demon runs on pump gas with full tires at the front and the passenger seat in.

It’s a cool car and ford needs to get a competitive ohv v8 back in the market. I think dodge is doing great from challenger and charger to Durango, Ram, and Jeep
