LOL I watched her storm off to a neighbor kiddy cross from me who had his entire finished basement entirely destroyed and had got a recking team in to pull the entire thing out while having a dumpster on his driveway that was paid and zoned for, he's one the front porch about to smack this lady like I wanted too!

I'm really ready to sell my house and find something like a 3 bedroom ranch, unless I can find a log cabin home that's up to code with a one bedroom and an open loft upstairs off the grid that gets decent internet

You better prepare for the HOA to probe you in every which way. They will come after you no doubt.
Found his house, trust me he will not want to screw with me and others but the fact we shock hands and apologized, also with my other neighbor we just heard screaming from him out the windows WTF she was thinking... we were in tears

You should have a copy of the covenants, and read them. Chicago and collar counties love HOAs, because the town can make the HOA maintain common areas that in other neighborhoods, the municipality would have to. That where most of the HOA dues goes to. Think cul de sacs, common areas, open space, retention ponds, etc. Every neighborhood also has some kook who has nothing better to do than meddle in other peoples business. Good HOAs keep those kooks in check, bad HOAs get those kooks on the board. Every set of covenants I have read has some weakness you can use to your advantage. Read them, and get your lawyer to do the same. Show up at the next few board meetings. You don't have to speak. If you get asked, just say you had previously thought the board was doing a fine job, but was just curious if there has been a significant change in the board. Most of the coward kooks have no desire to actually look you in the eye, and will go out of their way to avoid you.

I can’t say I would have done anything different. In my neighborhood the hoa can only issue violations from what they can see from the street. I wish I could have seen the look on her face when you broke her phone and threw the bike in the street, hahahaha!

Gotta love HOA member wifes. Seriously the biggest Karens out there in the universe.
So damn true. I thankfully/surprisingly haven't had an issue yet but my neighbor told me our HOA president's wife likes to peer in peoples windows and see what the inside of the townhomes looks like.

You need to have some weird fetish shit on standby in case you see her coming.

Great ending to a story. Looks like Karen may get a few black eyes from the ol Pres tonight. If you are a savage like me call the cops to file a noise complaint if you continue to hear yelling. Remember, you didn't start this fight but you sure as hell can end it.

They have changed companies three times now but I hold personal property. The new one starts at the first of the year but I followed up and with the notice but walking on personal property is questionable, right?

As someone with lots of experience with HOAs I'll tell you that the company means absolutely nothing. They can change companies every two months but the fact remains that the company works at the direction and pleasure of the HOA itself.

Additionally any evidence gathered illegally cannot be used against you. This would include someone entering your yard without prior notice. More than likely in the cc&r there was a self correct section which means that you have so many days to correct the problem before the HOA has the right to come onto your property and do it themselves. This does not sound like the case if someone is just snooping around.

From what I can tell there was a violation and measures are being taken to correct it. However that does not justify the wife of an HOA member to be on your property. In fact, the wife has no business conducting HOA business if she's not on the board of directors. This would seem like a bigger violation of trust and policy to me than anything else and I would personally make a deal over it.
