If you have 2 sets of nice wheels you like, forget getting a new 5x5 pattern, that’s crazy. I do wish I would have gone 5/8” studs and just dealt with it on the street wheels.
What do you plan on doing with the power—drag, standing mile, Street fun?

Hey J I wanna do a little of everything run it In half miles and maybe a couple mile runs but mostly, some roll racing and 1/2 mile, 1/4 mile. I wanna test the MoTeC possibilities as I did the wastegate modification to my 4.7 KB so boost by gear and anti lag, sadly I have spent some money on my wheels setups so I really meaning away from the 5x5

Why not just go with Moser and M9? Always heard good things. I think my next Shelby will get an m9 with 35spline, S trac and strange drag brakes.
Honestly called moser first and asked them if the can convert a drop In 9 inch rear to a floater for our cars and they straight up told me no, that they only did that for drag applications, I think the guy didn’t understand what was asked, so I called strange and the offer a touring floater kit for 35 spline axles and s trac diff and a drag floater kit but that only takes 40 spline and spool, and I’m doing cobra jet specs on my 9 which they have in the system.

Did they tell you the difference between their protour and drag floater? Looking at same one

Ya drag floater is a 40 spline axles and spool only you can’t use a differential, pro touring floater you can only go as big as 35 spline axles but you can use a differential or a spool of your choice

Haha ya re-read it, I wonder what kind of power they would rate those axles for? Being a floater

The guy at strange said it can handle more power he didn’t say how much but he said just the design helps the loads in the axle shaft equal at the inside splines and outside splines

If you already have street rims you like, I’d run the standard 66”. You can also have them build it to CJ specs (not much different) but in stock length, that’s what I did. They are built to order and Strange beat their quote by a full 7-10d, so overall between the ease of installation and customer service I was very impressed.
