This topic is always beat to death, but I need to pull the trigger on new tires after my recent dyno session at Alternative Auto, car put down 660/640 with just Exhaust, Intake, TB and Tune....was happy with the results. Anyway, was going to order the following, but where is the best place to purchase? Also, for the fronts 275 or 265?

275/40/19 - NT555G2
305/35/20 - NT555R

Let me know;thanks

Funny the car is in the Forsale section, but I'm not giving the car away or not driving it.....to much fun with the weather being beautiful in MI!

I ordered my 555Rs through tirebuyer.com

Had never heard of it but they had the best price at the time, and free shipping to shops.

No complaints yet.

Definitely go 305/35/20 NT555Rs on stock rear wheels. Fronts suck for sizes, but it’s still 9.5” so 285/35/19 if you can find it, but don’t go too bulky as 275/40 looks terrible in front (fat sidewall), and 275/35 not better (thin sidewall). 255/40/19 is another option, but I’m not sure what’s out there in 19”
And I’d say keep it, your daughter is definitely not ready for a Shelby. A manual transmission bigger beater is a good way to start her out. Your GT500 can be a great father/daughter memory if she’s into it. But no way any 16y/o is ready for unsupervised GT500 Power.
Good numbers, these are great boost weather days!

Thanks. I’ll start the search for fronts. Yea, drove the car today...not sure I can part with her. Just need to hook and book. And I agree, my 16 year old, or any of my kids, will ever be unsupervised in my Shelby. Happy cold, boost air

OP...Love Your Choice of Color :)->).
Sometimes we might feel it's time for a change...or just time to sell. That impulse can easily be erased once the garage door opens and you hear " PSssst..Over Here ." Then as you drive away you feel the torque behind the stick. Selling impulse can most definitely gets diminished after a healthy output dyno session ...when that big smile emerges both inside & out LOL.

That's the tire combo I'm running (except 275/35/20 G2's in the fronts since the Alcoas are 19 x 10 fronts). I think you'll be very happy with the ride quality but with 660+ RWHP you're still going to spin :)

285/35 is really tempting for the fronts!!! Anyone running theses? Would love to see it before I pull the trigger.

Ask you and shall receive.

You realize, it's going to be 1.5" difference in diameter between front and rear with a 285/35-19. I ran 285/40-19s with 315/35-20s (widened SVTPPs) and there was sufficient clearance up front. If you're going to run a staggered 19/20, you're just going to have more sidewall up front.

I am running the OEM rims front and widened OEM rear. I have 275/40/19 front and 305/35/20 rear in G2 for both. The front has about 1/8" more sidewall according to specs. On the vehicle they look equal. You go a 35 series up front it is really going to drop the front due to height and the sidewall is going to be noticeably shorter than the rear. Your ride will also be rougher.

I really don't want rougher, and like equal. Without lowering the car, losing any sidewall might look goofy....

Question is it necessary to widen the rears for 305/35's? Was hoping to just put them on the stock rims.

Thanks! It had the stock PP springs on Koni struts, so it might have been a little lower than stock. The rear was lowered. I've since lowered it and now have a 285/35-20 up front and 325/30-20s in the rear. Both sets of 285s measure the same diameter. There's still plenty of room up front even lowered.

Wheels are 10x20 up front with a 44mm offset. Rears are 11.5x20 with a 61mm offset.
