With a 5mm spacer longer studs should not be needed. As long as you can get 10 turns of engagement from your lug nut you'll be fine. The S550 bolt pattern is 5 x 4.5 or 5 x 114.3 and 5mm spacers can be had from just about anywhere. I know Summit Racing carries some.

Thanks,

I picked up the adapters and bolts today from you guys to be able to run the gt350r brake calipers.

I just now need to figure out the rear. I can't seem to find all the parts to make the swap to the Brembo's in the rear, mainy the emergency brake hat assembly loaded and ready to go.

Everything else seems pretty straight forward.

I have found where you can buy all the parts separately for the emergency brake hat. I assume that is what is being done, purchasing all the parts and assembling into loaded emergency brake hat.

Any idea if any of the wheels below will fit with this brake package?

MRR Design M350 wheels (19x10 front with 40 mm offset, 19x11 rear with 55 mm offset.)
Late Model resto SVE R350 wheels (19x10 front with 35 mm offset, 19x11 rear with 50 mm offset.)
Late Model resto SVE S350 wheels (19x10 front with 40 mm offset, 19x11 rear with 50 mm offset.)

This brake kit is on the to do list, but think I will go with wheels and tires first before the brakes, just want to make sure the wheels I choose will work with these brakes so I don't have to buy wheels again.

Thanks,

Doug

Doug,
We do not have any experience with the SVE wheels. The GT350 brakes are very large in diameter and requires any 19" rim to have a larger than normal barrel diameter. The wheels we have verified in a 19" wheel that fits are the Project6gr wheels, and Apex S550 Mustang - Ford - Shop By Vehicle

Thanks for the link to the Apex wheels. Never heard of them, but I think those may just be what I go with.

Thanks again,

Doug

LMR states these will not fit on a GT350 or GT350R so I would guess not. Too bad, these are the wheels I was looking at as well.

A follow up question I would have is, can you run a true square setup with the 6GR wheels or Apex wheels? All four wheels the same sizes and offsets so you would rotate the tires would be nice.

We run the same wheels and tires on all 4 corners. Wheels are P6GR 19x10 front with 35 mm offset and 285/35/19 tires without spacers. The rear sits a little wider than the front but can at least rotate the wheels.

I am looking into upgrading from the stock GT 4 pots and was looking at the PP 15" 6 pots. I saw there is a front only kit for the GT-350 brakes and was wondering how this would be with the stock GT rears? Would it throw the brake balance too far off compared to the PP brakes?

The 15" PP 6 pot Brembos will throw off the brake bias a bit as would the GT 350 brakes but not in a dangerous way. Your front brakes would be doing 85-90% of the braking with that conversion when in reality they should be more like 70-75%. The dangerous problems with brake bias is having TOO much REAR brake. That is a problem.

There are a few advantages to the Shelby GT 350 front brakes. They have a larger pad, an extra 1/2" rotor diameter and lighter rotor. The GT 350 calipers are available in red which is also an aesthetic advantage over the dark PP Brembo 6 piston calipers. Another advantage to the red GT 350 calipers is the fact that you can eventually convert the rears to the matching red Shelby GT 350 four piston calipers and rotors and really have the most fantastic brakes to ever be offered on a Mustang.

In the LMR installation video of the GT350R brake kit, the guy stated that there is a compatibility issue regards a wheel knuckle and hub. can anyone shed some light on what exactly is the issue and possibly how to address it?

Not sure what they might be referring to but some people have had wheel I.D. fitment issues with the Ford Racing/Performance kit but we addressed that fitment issue with our kit.
