This is a mule for the ’21 Jeep Wagoneer, caught flexing in Death Valley, California.

The Wagoneer and larger Grand Wagoneer will be based off of the ’19 RAM 1500’s platform, putting them in direct competition with the also-truck-based Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. The plush models will also be positioned up against the likes of the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class and the Infiniti QX80, among others.

While it shares mechanicals with the RAM 1500, the Wagoneer models will get an independent rear suspension for better ride and interior packaging to fit in a third-row seat. Adjustable ride height is also expected to be lifted from the RAM. It’s expected V6 and V8 engines will be offered, while a new inline-six with a turbo and 48-volt mild hybrid system is also expected to be introduced on the Jeep models. A plug-in hybrid variant is also expected after initial launch.

Expect to see the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer as early as spring 2020, likely at the New York Auto Show.

If they don't completely eff up the design, they'll sell an absolute crap ton of these things. The Jeep brand is on fire, and the Wagoneer has some serious name recognition.

Once my lease is up with my Durango I'm jumping ship and going back to a JK Jeep at that time I hope is reasonably priced or I'm going to a loaded 2015 F150 with low miles and I'll pick up a project car to play with like a Cobra or GTO

That Jeep/whatever it is = BARF

Looks exactly like a Ram. I am however interested to see the final product, to be honest the Jeep brand and Dodge are killing it IMO.

I’m assuming this mule is all Jeep underneath the skin. Because otherwise they’re just testing a Ram in preparation to compete against truck based SUVs that look nothing like this Mule.

Jeep has always been popular, but now they’re appealing to the “strong independent mothers “ who need room for several kids (and **** sexism, another person to help with the ludacris payments on said vehicle)

Feels like the 5.7L hemi has been around since the birth of Christ.

They've gotten more power out of it since 2003, but I wonder if they have any plans on a newer base V8 for their trucks/cars.

How many spy photo threads have to be made until everyone grasps the concept of a test mule?
