Oh nice. Yeah same. A couples months ago I was trying to get a hold of a tuner and was barely responsive and by the time I messaged for an update he forgot what we were talking about in the first place lol. Had to explain a couple times everything we talked about. It was annoying

If you've got the interest I would look into decipha's set up and look into tuning yourself. It's a lot easier when you can do it when you're ready. Plus you'll learn a lot about your car.

@slo984now are you using the same software and stuff?

No. I'm using the Pro Racer Package from SCT. I think @cj428mach is using decipha's set up and it pretty happy with it. I'd switch, but I have the money tied into SCT and I know it. Plus I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to switch over to the Megasquirt set up once it's released for our cars. I'm just going to deal with switching ECU's when smog time rolls around.

Ah ok that’s cool. Well which ever I end up going with I’m sure I’ll have some questions. If I can’t figure it out I’d like to message you if you don’t mind. I’ll get in touch with decipha soon as well

Any update on that yet?

Not really. I think everyone is waiting for the 03/04 version to drop in November.

should have specified, that's what I wanted to know, how long before they were releasing it.
I need to start tuning my car myself but with limited plug and play and sophisticated programs with ECU swaps I'm not sure what direction to be going in.

I think it depends on the end goal really. If it's a "basic" set up; 2.3 blower, 60lb injectors, slightly bigger MAF I think SCT or decipha's stuff is fine. I've been using SCT since 07. I used it to tune my last set up that was similar to JetMech's. But this time around I want a little more control. And the small things like traction control and knock sensors without having to run another system is drawing me in. Along with flex fuel capability and closed loop operation at all times.

lol I'm way past the basics, I have a 2.9 on a return system big injectors bigger MAF and right now c16 but I want to try c85 and I really don't want to be held back by finding a reliable tuner and bound to their schedules.

I get that. That's one of the reasons I started tuning myself. The amount of changes I've made over the years has made the money I spent on the software well worth it. For what you want to do I'd wait and see how the new Megasquirt works out. Or if you don't care about the stock dash look into the stuff like Haltech and Holley.
