I’m looking at a set of toyo proxes but they are 305 35 series 18’s. I’ve always run a 30 series in the rear. Anybidy run that series tires. Thanks.

I’m currently running 345’s 30 series h&r ss rolled lip adjustable shocks set to firm one iso. It’s been rubbing so bad it rolled the face of the tire. The tires I’m looking at are used 49 of 2017 two for 320 toyo proxes rr

I ran the original Hoosier d/r few yrs ago and it's spin city on the streets, lay some serious black stripes lol. They only lasted me 1500 miles, but they should work nicely at the track

Anybody run a 335/30/18 nitto 555r. It’s either that or a 35 series Mickey. Toyo back order everywhere

I personally like them, but Ive been debating on trying the Mickey Thompson DRs, not sure if they run wider than the Toyos? From what ive compared the Toyos run wide, I have them on CCW 18x11s and fit perfect.

MT are shit for street tires. Nitto or Toyo for street DRs, all others are a compromise. Really depends on your use. My 1000rwhp GT500 runs 17” MT Rs but they’re not great for high speed runs or turns. I run 555Rs on my Hellcat and Cobras and under 800rwhp they’re the best option. I ran 305/35/18s no issue on my ‘04.
35 series no issue unless you’re slammed.

Appreciate the info! I am not nowhere near those levels of power but my good bud has a 800 hp 93 Cobra and he runs the Nitto NT05 i believe? and he claims they suck? Are the 555Rs that much better?

NT05 or NT05R? Big difference

The nt05r is supposed to be a better tire than 555r, but I don't believe they make them in a 305/35 or 315/30

Correct. The NT05R is a drag radial and more aggressive than a 555R. The regular NT05 is just a summer radial, not relevant for big traction.
I’ve ran all brands, my track cars have MT/Hoosier, street cars get Nitto or Toyo.
