The Chocolate on the right was my original “child” before the little girl on the left came along.

Retired drug dog. Best dog I’ve ever owned. Took three separate snake bites for me over the years; a moccasin, timber rattler and an eastern diamondback.

Also fearlessly attacked a black bear to protect me one night when I walked out the back pool deck door between the mamma and her cub. No bark, no growl, nothing. Just barreled through the screen and latched onto a bear 3-4x her size without hesitation. The bear swatted her about 10’ through the air but it was enough to startle it and the cub into running off.

She passed about 4 years ago. Miss that dog all the time. Could not hide a loaf of bread from that dog. She’d find it anywhere (even on top of the fridge) and eat it. Finally had to resort to a locking bread box and routinely came home to it pulled onto the floor and chewed on.

So sorry for your loss brother. She sounds like she did more then her share throughout her life. She is resting easy eating more bread then she could ever handle.

Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he's owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes." Gene Hill

Those quotes are more true then most people know. My boy loves myself and my fiance (total momma's boy) more then life itself. True happiness and innocence!

Our new pup clearly favors the wife over me, Its comical! His favorite playmate is our youngest. His personality is so much different then dogs I've had. He communicates so well too.

Haha yeah it is very similar with us. He is extremely good with new people, kids, and other dogs. It really surprised me as he is roughly 120 lbs so is most definitely a big boy, but he handles himself so well around small children especially it blows our mind. Beyond gentle and arguably the most intelligent dog I have ever seen or had, everyone that has ever met him has just been blown away.
