Seems like NSR cams usually pick up around 50rwhp. Maybe a little less depending on how hard you're spinning that blower.

I added Kooks LT Headers, OR H Pipe, IW 10% overdrive crank pulley and McLeod clutch when I added my NSR cams and picked up 80 hp with a new tune. This was on top of the existing 2.8LC Kenne-Bell i already had. Say GOOD Bye to any kind of fuel mileage when you install those cams!

Lol try e-85 and NSR cams. I'm at like 125 miles a tank or so! But it's worth it. I didn't feel much power from the cams but did notice the loss in lower end power, which is useful for hooking up on the street

Depends on which NSR cam you select. Not all NSRs are the same lift duration or lobe seperation and won't all have the same characteristics. One thing is for certain, they should make power well beyond the sensible rev limits on a stock lower end. The more you want to risk it, the more power they'll make.

I went with the L&M NSRs. I picked up about 75rwhp closer to 80 I guess. I stayed the same with torque it went up slightly maybe but it def helped with hooking Im just over 750rwhp "safely" and it hooks pretty well for running 20in NT555Rs

The NSRs or any cams will shift the power curve to higher rpm, and this loss of low end torque will actually help traction.

Pump 93 lol now I’m worried.
My mileage went to shit as well when I installed JDM cams. It's not a DD, so I don't care, but it is something to consider. I haven't seen over 10mpg on pump 93 since the install, and that's when I'm not beating on it.

@biminiLX yea that is why I didnt care about torque I didnt loose any by adding them actually gained just slightly. But yea def helped on traction makes the car feel "slower" in a way but its def faster lol

Also I am pump 93 and yea when you are stop and go or around town MPG is like 10 to 12 for me. Highway isn't bad but 1 you dont buy this car and worry about MPG and 2 you def dont mod or think about cams if your worried about MPG ( buy a Tesla lol )

I was at about 315 or so when full before cams. now im at about 215 with cams.

NSR Bullet (Lethal Grind) cams, plus a full LT/cat/catback exhaust on my '14 GT500 yielded 700rwhp. I would assume 50rwhp on a good NSR cam, alone. Exhaust makes a huge difference on these cars.

I am basically stock on my 13. Just jlt intake and canned tune. Even before the intake and tune, I have never seen more than 11.9 miles per gallon. Usually around 10.9. And mine is a DD. I dont see how you guys get 17+ mpg?!

City driving, around 11-12 is about right. I could squeeze 22mpg on the highway, after cams. Didn't notice any difference in fuel economy after cams. That, and I drove my '14 GT500 ridiculously conservatively (cops around here pull you over for 2mph over, but texting while drunk is acceptable).

In my '18 GT, I'm averaging 25mpg.

How is the drive ability with NSR cams on the street. Is the tuning much harder? Do you need to change to vacuum pot on the supercharger and does it effect the power brakes. I have a built lower end so it can with stand the rpms but, will I need to up grade the chains and gears or will they be ok.

For me I’m tuned by one of the big ones. My combo I’m running a harder TB and the NSRs I pretty much DD my car and they got it to where it is very very easy to drive. I also have an RXT which people bitch about but I am use to it as well so with all 3 I don’t have any issues on the street. Takes a little getting use to won’t ever be like stock but it’s easy I think

Good to hear you’ve calibrated yourself to the TB cams and clutch, those 3 are the toughest. It’s MUCH easier with 3.73/4.10s And removal of the clutch assist spring.
Did you do those two?
