I am not the original installer of the CP-E fuel hat with dual 465 pumps in my car but I recently had one go out and replaced the set. With the new pumps in the fuel hat, I lowered the assembly into the tank and the pumps seem to bottom out in the tank before the hat is resting on the tank seal. I cant see exactly how much farther down the hat need to go before contacting the gasket but I would estimate and 1/8th inch or so.
Anybody else ran into this? The pumps cannot sit any higher in the hat and I have inspected the bottom of the tank to see if it is dent and there is no dents or damage to the tank from what I can see.
