Was a little surprised mileage was so bad on a stockish(intake/exhaust) car. First tank using 93 got me 14 mpg with about half of the 185 miles highway and the other half country roads. I probably drove it harder than normal being I've only had it a few weeks BUT haven't really done many 1-3rd pulls as the GARBAGE tires just hop like crazy in 1st-2nd unless you really easy into it.

Anyway, just surprised and can't image what you big HP guys are getting, sub 10 mpg?

I'm getting over 20mpg usually. Averaged 23.9mpg in my old 03 from south western PA to Ocean City MD, 700 mile round trip. 500whp and 3.55's, 70-75mph. My current 03, I'm right around 20mpg mixed driving, 600whp and 3.73's. You must have a heavy foot, or a car that's thirsty.

I got 21.4mpg mixed first tank on my 03 with 2.76 and a midpipe . . . but that was driving it like somebody's dead grandma. next tank I got 16 dead nuts driving it like a banshee.

600whp 3.31 rear, 11mpg city.

I get 15mpg doing the same driving in my 392 Challenger.

18.7 mpg 100% city on my last tank. Included a quick 2nd gear pull to shut down a 2v that wanted some. Stock Mach engine, stock eaton, stock pulleys. Not exactly apples to apples, but I'd say you've got a heavy foot or the tune could be cleaned up some.

Baby Jesus cries when any Cobra goes above 15MPG.

Kidding aside, I enjoy my cobra. I can get 21MPG cruising at 80MPH. I can also get 10 MPG having fun. Luckily I have a fusion plug in as a daily driver.

I think my around town is 12-14ish. The most I've seen on the freeway is 18. At least that's when I checked last. Usually when I'm on the freeway I'm cruising with a friend or two and we're hauling ass.

14 combined doesn't sound too terrible. When I was still on the pullied Eaton with 4.10's, I got around 21-22 on the highway poking along. Haven't bothered to run the numbers since the KB and all that jazz, though I did go back to 3.55's. Just for mpg kicks...been driving my '19 2.7 F150 since it had 61 miles on it (57xx now). 23.9 average mpg combined. Window sticker says 24 highway. Sure beats my old Tremor that could barely crack 15 no matter how much I babied it.

Just wait until you get hooked on ethanol!

I was very surprised the first time I took the car on the highway with E85 in it. Surprisingly it did very well. I didn't measure exactly, but a 95 mile round trip with AC on only burned 1/3 tank on the gauge. For city street driving it does burn quite a bit more.
